battlecorder and nametags

battlecorder and nametags. hud disable doesnt effect the tags or console msgs


ideas?

renderer.draw Hud 0 is the command I believe. Make sure you learn the keyboard commands for controlling the camera though.

already have and that command removes the bottom player tag and the disconnect messages but not the nametags in red and blue

Hmm, I remember doing this and having no nametags.

Have you thought of using battledirector? http://www.sircommunity.com/?p=software-battledirector

It is quite handy. You don't really even have to go through and make the films using it as that usually takes awhile and can get complicated if the film is over a certain time length. Just fire it up, select the option to hide names, then open the battlerecorder file and plan out your camera work.

I can never get BD to work propery. It usually crashes for one reason or another. Let me know how you do...

bd amd 1.40 are not compatible.

If you don't, or can't use BD, this is the procedure I use (this is how BD turns the name tags off):

Go to your mods/[mod-name] folder, edit gamelogicinit.con (backup the file first!), and add the following line at the end: renderer.drawNametags 0.

Restore the gamelogicinit.con file before joining a server or you might get kicked for modified content.

I went through the con files must have missed it yay!

note to others: this will likely turn off in game tags as well :P
