Need help with Battlefield 3142: The Movie
This Project has two parts: The movie and the mod This Project has two parts: The movie and the mod Story Description: Humanity has prospering for over a 1000 years, long after the cold war had recedded into memory of the race. However, the peace would not last. As the 32nd century begins to mature, a new enemy has arrived, one coming from the deep vestiages of Siberia, the Pan-Asian Coalition is rusurectted and ready to conquer Europe and North Africa once again. To make matters worse, a horrendous climate anomoly is ravishing the fertile lands of the Earth. Global Warming is turning gleaming futuristic cities of Europe into desolate, sand-engulfed regions where only mecarnries and militas roam the streets. The Battle for Earth has begun and it has new twist. What I need: Modders- I need some people to mod a good Battlefield 3142 mod with some modifications to the game but not too much. Hi there Sith, I'm a new-comer to game developing, worked in the industry for just over a year now but there are a few things I think you'll need for this if you want it to be done right.
1) game coder (pulls together the art assets from the 3D artist and incorporates them within the game files) 2) 3D artist (concepts, models, textures, rigging, animations) including characters, vehicles and maps. 3) Game Engine emulator (to run tests on each version of the game prior to release) 4) A game moder - someone who has gone through this before and knows what pitfalls you can expect and probably help lead the team. Now this is by no means a comprehensive list but should set you on the right path. With regards to your concept, it does hold water however it will need to be fleshed out considerably for it to become more emersive - after 1000 years tecnology would have progressed exponensially so a minor mod to the existing game isn't going to cut it I'm affraid. I don't know if there are any assets out there that would help you with this project - perhaps if you approached Dice with the idea and ask if there is anything they can provide you with that could offset the production time - so instead of creating an object by scratch they may already have a framework in place that they wouldn't mind leasing. There are a lot of variables involved with this project Sith, if you're committed then it may just bare fruit.
