Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
I'm confused now...when you said "I have a calculator that beats that", you meant that the calculator is worse than my computer right? Because otherwise my post above makes me look like an idiot...

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
....and this thing has quietly slipped out of Beta just yesterday.
To start the broswer bases game go here:
https://www.battlefieldheroes.com/playnow
My review on it from the beta:
- I enjoyed the game for 3 days
- I liked it for the next 5 days
- I began to dislike itfor the next 3 days
- Since then I kind of hate it
So there is still some fun to be had at the start
I´ll retry it while it has the "new car air" smell on it. It´s free to play anyway so nothing to lose. You only pay money for special taunts and uniforms for the people that want to impress others via a few pixles
Also it seems all Beta players were able to keep their soldiers. So enjoy getting rocked by those level 15 Heroes with Wallhacks and Grenadespam (Name of 2 Abilities

It's frustrating to shoot the hell out of someone only to have them run straight at you and kill you with a knife.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
I found it a moderately entertaining game, but it's actually why I came back to 2142. I started playing it and thought "this is kind of fun... but why would I ever play this versus 2142?"
The major complaint from my point of view isn't that it's cartoony and a little silly. It's that it discourages community. I like the idea of matching soldiers up to people who are similarly skilled, but at the same time, if I don't know the people who I'm playing against, the game holds limited long-term interest.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
I don't know, I gave it a shot, and I have to say I really like the art style. The maps are kind of fun to, but I miss the little things like Q spotting and VOIP. Also the random server thing is a joke. It took me 10 tries before it could match me.
My friends call me Y. My enemies call me... well, that's a secret.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
I have been in the Beta for Heroes since closed began. I can tell you that they just recently activated PunkBuster and it has been wreaking havoc ever since. PB has been causing server lag issues, total pauses in gameplay at random times, even total freezes, then it causes a wide range of PB errors kicking you from servers the most common is ERROR 22.
as almost all of the testing community will tell you it was not ready for release, just prior to opening it up everything site and all had crashed causing mass issues ranging from character deletions to loss of Battlefunds (in game currency to buy items) and not being able to renew items though it would take your game currency. I have tried recently to play here and there and all of the issues pre launch are still there yet they did it anyway, sad.
i have issues with matchmaking now because my characters are all above lvl 20 so i only assume its easier for the new players. but in all the game is fun, not long term fun but fun and they have made every attempt at making you spend some cash on it.CRY HAVOC! Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?
Did they ever fix the issue of not being able to switch teams? When I was in the beta that turned me off to it within the first few hours. Being on a team down 5 guys and knowing it was impossible for the other side to notice and easily switch. Of, conversely, being on the team up 5 guys and being unable to switch.
