Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

Trailer is out for this now.. http://battlefield-heroes.com/

Looks very cartoonish, about like Team Fortress 2. Could be fun.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

There have been a couple of threads about this...our community's response as a whole has been...less...than enthusiastic to put it nicely.

It may interest some of our younger members. It's not my cup of tea but I can definitely see an audience for it.

Yeah I saw that too - so much for not using gunships to pod out and cap flags

It's not battlefield, but it does look, dare I say it, fun. I like my tactical games, but I also like my causal games. I'm definatly gonna try it out, atleast.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

Nothing personal anyone, but I think it looks very stupid. Also, it looks like the 15-year old the trailer described is going to love that game, not hate it. It looks like there's more of a chance to own than on BF2142. Without teamwork, that is.

That's the only thing that interested me. I think everyone that might have been interested this have got a better option in TF2 already. Maybe the success of that has led DICE to making something to compete with it...

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

It's to be ranked by ability/score. So NFG's won’t get slaughted by more experienced players.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

It is utterly stupid. Most if not all TG is not their demographic target. How much teamplay / squads & commanders / tactics there are sound dumbed down. It's a money making organ for EA. Claims ads will be shown only in load up (extra time?). You get to pay for niffty eye-candy upgrades.
The fact that it's free means many may try it but not be stuck paying for a lemon.

Re: Battlefield: Heroes anyone?

When it comes out, if I'm not occupied by another game at that time, I'll try it. Will most likely only give it a weekend worth of play.
