I haven't played 2142 in a while, and I wanted to pop back to where it all started (I found TacticalGamer through 2142). I went to the main menu of 2142, found the two TG servers listed in my favourites, tried to join the conquest server and - Failed to connect, please check connections and try again. It wasn't full, there were at least 6 slots left. I tried again, same thing happened. I tried joining the Cerbere server, only 3 people on that one. Same thing happened. (It seems EA have noticed people actually having 'fun' playing one of their games. Well, they solved that problem ok.)
But seriously, does anyone know what the problem is or what the solution is? I can connect to other servers fine, but why would I want to? I have the game fully patched, but I don't have NS. If anyone knows what the problem is, please say!

have you patched to 1.4?

if so then try and search for the TG server just incase

If it has been a long time for you, maybe the IP's changed and thos servers on your "favorites" do not exits. We have had some changes, not sure bout the IP's though. Do what Reaper said, Serch for Tg and join...or follow somone on your buddy list. You can add me, MDFubar and when I get home I will accept. I won't be on until 7pm EDT though.

I second Fubar's post--you probably have the old server on your favorites list. If that's not the problem, check out the tech support forum or PM Azura, our local tech support monkey. (Can you believe someone actually agreed to do that?)

Guessing Fubar's right. When I was playing regularly I had the server on my favourites, but I remember it changing a couple times and me having to "advanced search -Tacticalgamer.com" to get the right server. Then just deleted old and added new.

I repatched v4, and was able to connect to the Cerbere server by finding it in the advanced menu. I tried to get onto the other TG server but it was full. It gave me the 'server is full' message, so I presumed it worked ok (this was about one and a half hours ago). I tried just a few minutes ago to get onto the other server and it was the same old problem, connection to the server has been lost. I'll try reinstalling 2142 tomorrow, and see if that works.
