"We used to know each other as friends; part of a brotherhood that we thought was unbreakable. We came from different backgrounds and life experiences, and that was our strength. We thought nothing could stop us.
The ice was another life experience.
It changed the face of the world and wiped entire countries off the map. Within less than a year, the world of abundance we all knew had disappeared. There were now too many people for the remaining areas to handle. As political tension grew, so did our differences. We had our own opinions on how to solve the problem. In the end, our strength became our weakness.
Those who hadn't chosen sides already had been picked up by conscriptors. We all trained in the art of firearms, grenades and military vehicles. Secretly, we were all hoping we'd never see each other in the field of battle. We hoped it would be a short and minor conflict... but who were we kidding?
Before our eyes, the war took on a global scale. Asia declared a formal war against Europe and applied action to words, spearheading its invasion with Titan fortresses and bulldozing its way into the ever-freezing landscape. Battles followed one after another without delay. Before we knew it, we had grown into hardened soldiers, ready to fight tooth and nail for our ideals and our own survival.
It had to happen. Eventually, inevitably, one of us looked through the scope of his rifle and recognized his old acquaintance. From now on, we would be doing battle against each other.
... Nothing will stop us."

1. The TG BF2142 "Shockwave" Campaign
Dear friends,
We are at the pleasant position to announce to you a
TG BF2142 Campaign event, code-named “Shockwave”.
Yes, you hear us well soldier. The world powers need you. EU and PAC need that magic tactical element that only
TG can bring!
Polish your boots, clean up your guns, and join this epic campaign, leading EU or PAC to the final victory.
This is a long post. In order to understand the structure of this campaign, please allow 5 - 10 minutes of your valuable time to read this post until the end, because this campaign is structured to extend the tactical and fun elements of the game, by introducing some interesting twists.
Session Details
• Timeline: Campaign will start at 03/16/08 and end at 05/25/08
• Date and Time: Every Sunday at 4:00pm EST. Find your local time here:

Be on TeamSpeak 45 minutes prior to the event (3:15pm EST)
As army members are picked, we will separate them into the army-specific channels on TeamSpeak. Once the armies are separated, we will have 15 minutes of planning. Then it's battle time!
Registration & SignUp
It is recommended to register, because the CO, prior to any battle, must know the number of people signed-up, in order to devise the tactical plan for that battle.
If you do not make it into the signups (and supporting members do get priority), you are welcome to show up in TeamSpeak on the night of the event.
A few people are likely to cancel beforehand, so there may be slots available. However, this will bring a disadvantage, as late sign-up members will not have the time to read and understand the CO plan.
There will be separate threads for each one of the campaign battles on the "
BF2142 General" forum. You can register & signup there.
In this thread please post your interest for participation, comments, suggestions and any questions you may have.
Update: Registration for the entire campaign and the for the 1st battle, is now open:

Schedule
The campaign will span on 11 weeks. Each week we will fight only one battle:
1. Sunday 16 Mar.
2. Sunday 23 Mar.
3. Sunday 30 Mar.
4. Sunday 6 Apr.

9. Sunday 11 May.
10. Sunday 18 May.
11. Sunday 25 May.
Roles
There are two armies, EU and PAC. Each army will have the following roles assigned to its members:
1. Commanding Officer (CO)
2. Squad Leader (SL)
3. Squad Member (SM)
4. Battle Reporter (BR)
There is also a global role:
5. Campaign Coordinator (CC)
Every member participating in the campaign must remain in the same army for the entire campaign. Any member can enlist for any role, including multiple choices. Members will be put in a pool and depending of their availability and role preference, they will be assigned to the roles in a “first come – first serve” basis. Priority will be given to supporting members.
Roles breakdown
CO:
• Choose battle and mode
• Devise the tactical plan of the battle
• Designate squads and missions
• Choose by lot the SLs
• Communicate the plan with SLs
• Command the battle
SL:
• Follow CO plan
• Communicate the plan with SMs
• Designate kits
• Lead the squad
SM:
• Follow SL plan
BR:
• Does not fight
• Uses the “Spectator Mode”
• Take notes, pictures and videos of the battle (Fraps - WeGame)
• Keep track of statistics, final score screen, etc.

• Helps in presenting the campaign results
CC:
• Responsible for the organization and coordination of the event
Current Members: Rasta-GR, Big-Eye101, MDFubar.
Initiation
At the start of the campaign, and before the start of the first battle, the COs will choose by lot which army will start first. Starting first means that the CO who wins the lot will have the ability to choose first the battle (map) and mode (normal or Titan). The first battle will be conducted after 1 week. In this way, the two armies will have the time to prepare for the battles and plan accordingly.
Continuation
The two armies will start playing the game, in the specific battle and mode. After the end of any battle, the CO that lost the battle will choose the next battle and mode. This will open the campaign to a more dynamic approach and give the opportunity to the COs to deploy tactics that are best for the current situation and squad composition. The rest of the campaign goes on, with the loosing army having the ability to choose the next battle and mode.
Reporting Between Battles
In the week between the battles, the following actions will take place:
• Before the start of a battle, the COs will post in the appropriate army private forum, a “CO Briefing” report.
• After the end of a battle, the SLs will post in the appropriate army private forum, a “SL Debriefing” report.
• The COs will process the SL reports and post in the appropriate army private forum, a “CO Debriefing” report.
• The BRs will post results, scores and AARs, along with photos and videos, in the appropriate BR forum. AARs will be posted in the
BF2142 General forum as well.
(A sample format for the three reports is presented at the end of this post)
The End
At the end, the army that has won the most battles will be the winner of the campaign. The final campaign report will be posted in the
BF2142 General forum.
Awards
Every member that participates in 6 or more battles, will receive a unique campaign award. In addition, every member that played 6 or more battles and was a member of the winning army, will get a additional "Victory" award.
6 or more battle participations = "Shockwave Campaign Veteran"

3. Squad Type: Armor
4. SL Name: Big-Eye
5. Battle (map): Belgrade
6. Squad Members: Jazy, Rasta-GR
7. Execution Plan Evaluation:
Objective: Search & Destroy
Narrative: We patrolled the area between Monorail and Ruins.
Enemy Reaction: As soon as we arrived near Ruins, an APC and a Tank was blocking the West and North entrance. Enemy was also on the railgun, and motion mines was near the East entrance.
Objective: Defend Monorail
Narrative: During our S&D patrol, the CO ordered us to move to Monorail. We moved and cleared the area.
Enemy Reaction: The enemy retreated to the East and engaged with AT weapons.
8. Squad Initiatives:
Initiative: Defend Statue
Narrative: We had to move to Statue to support BRAVO when the enemy had stolen the Walker. As soon as the Walker was down, we fall back to our objective.
Enemy Reaction: The Walker tried to escape from the South road, moving towards Playground
9. Squad Evaluation:
In general, our performance was average. Our weakness was that we did not give attention to our flanks. The enemy was flanking us all the time and we lost our tank many times. We also lost our tank from motion mines because we did not have any MM bait.
10. CO Evaluation:
Our CO did an excellent job and coordination was great. At one critical point, CO ordered us to defend Monorail, as an enemy squad was infiltrating the area. All orbitals were indicated by a warning call and were perfectly synchronized with our positions and movements.

DELTA --- Infantry --- Defend ComTower --- Success
Narrative: Good performance.
ECHO --- SpecOps --- Destroy UCB Assets --- Failure
Narrative: The squad was pinned-down by enemy near the UCB. They keep moving to the area but enemy was expecting them.
FOXTROT --- Infantry --- Search & Destroy --- Success

7. Self Evaluation:
My performance was good. I used the area scan often in order to inform squads of enemy movements that were outside of their field of view. My weakness was that I ignored some supply requests.
