Lyra's Active Camouflage doesn't actually camouflage Lyra. It shifts the entire universe to another plane of existence temporarily when Lyra turns it on.

"Sorry, I am back now...was busy defending pond from an attack by an APC, Tank, and small squad of infantry"

Once I was in the MG in a tank, hitching a ride to the rest of my squad at ruin. We came around a corner and saw Lyra in a tank. I tried to run away, but it didn't work.
