All right, I've been thinking about this for awhile now ever since I started running "Learn TG" squads in the early afternoon. And in my opinion, they seemed to be of pretty great success, combining that with the influx of all these brand new faces, I'm opening up a dedicated "Learn TG" squad.

My plan is to get five members (Non-Sm/Sm) who are able to spare some time in the early afternoon to join me. Starting next Monday, March 31 at 3.30pm (EST) for a few rounds, we'll meet up in teamspeak, then we'll move onto a few pub servers and learn what it is to really be in a TG squad. I'll go over the many basic TG tactics, teamwork, and also leadership. After a few days, I want to be able to rotate a few of the member in for squadleading, then if this proves to be a great success, I'll try running a few more with some new members. My goal is to play infantry and vehicle maps, run infantry squads and vehicle squads, all utilizing teamwork and sportsmanship. I'm not looking to see how good you are, I just want to show you the way we play!

Sign-up below if you can and are willing to participate. If you are going to miss a day or two it's fine, because we don't need a full squad everyday. All I ask is you do your best, have a great attitude, and ultimately WANT to do this!

Note Before You Sign Up: Ask yourself if you really need some TG experience, it doesn't hurt to need it . But I'm looking for fresh members (Supporting-Non Supporting) who haven't played often with us, and who really want to Learn TG!

After everybody signs up, I'll hand pick five members (I won't forget everybody who signed up, you'll be next on list when I run another ) and send out Private Messages to you!

Yea, me too! Though I'm picking five, don't be hesitant thinking your going to take up a spot, it would be good to see 10-15 people to sign up and choose from! The schedule is tight but it'll always be loose!

1) I think this is a stellar idea.

2) as soon as i'm not on my laptop out of town,i'll be trying to make that happen.

3) I often create a Learn TG squad and have fair success. Requires an occasional boot, but most folks just wanna learn. Combine that with a competent CO and you'll pwn.

If I can get 2142 to run on my laptop and am on early enough, i'll be glad to join in the effort.

Ya know, back when I first joined, the first week that hooked me was Readers and Birdies "Learn TG" squads, it made the game rock for me! I wish I saw them when I played BF2!

Thank heavens I found this post, picked up 2142 this week, and I am seriously confused! Monday is also perfect for me as I don't work that day.

How long have you been playing the game?: About 4 days.

How long have you been playing on the TG Server?: Haven't yet. To be honest being a new online PC gamer I'm still having trouble getting my head round the choosing a server business.

How long have you been a part of the TG Forums?: A few weeks now, joined becasue of FFoW on the 360 and seeing 2142 this week in and knowing I could find players here was the thing swayed my purchase.

Your preferred specialty? (EG: Assualt/Support/Engineer): No idea to be honest. Something with a grunt work theme I think

If you have Teamspeak? (I'll provide you the download if you don't): No, and at the moment I don't even have a suitable headset. This will be rectified on Monday as it's pay day. Does anyone have any recommendations for one? As an aside, I'm finding the transition from controller to mouse quite difficult so I'm considering picking up the 360 controller for PC, anyone know if it'll work with BF2142?

as for the headset I suggest a USB headset, doesn't have to be anything special, maybe something from logitech.

You'll get used to the mouse and find it far superior don't worry about trying to find a controller, just give it a little time
