Nice server guys

Hey guys I was just checking out your site and wanted to drop by and tell you how much I enjoy the server. The squading rules really made the game more interesting for me and I've enjoyed the communication that I usually don't see on the game.

Oh yeah, I play under the name secretsnake, names a little silly I know.

Anyways, see you on the battlefield.

Welcome to the fray, snake. Enjoy your stay.
Look for a TG squad and use your VOIP -- you'll fit right in

Thanks for the encouragement, Snake! It's good to hear from you -- look forwards to meeting on the battlefield

There's plenty of information on the website regarding TG, most important is the Primer and Rules. You should also look at http://www.tacticalgamer.com/teamspeak.php and consider joining us on teamspeak!

Re: Nice server guys

The TG servers are indeed amazing. The difference in the quality of tactics and teamwork in a TG server and your generic 24/7 *insert map here* public server is literally night and day.

I also don't think I've ever seen another server give players adequate time to organize and plan before a round.

My favorite servers are ones with 10 second 'join' times between maps. I might have atrocious pings, but I load maps in about 10 seconds flat, while everyone else takes about 30. Hullo any vehicle I want!

This might be a bit off topic, but exactly determines how fast you load a map? I have a pretty beastly computer, but it still takes me longer than 10 seconds to load a map o,o

Usually how happy EA is with you or how many goats you have sacrificed this season.

On a serious notes I think this is todo with how much you play the map. I believe your computer will 'learn' a map.

I've got a pretty fast machine as well, and RAID 0 array for hard drives, so even faster on loading. It takes usually around 30 seconds on the first map load, then probably no more than 5-10 after maps change. I don't really pay too much attention to it, so I dunno.

I'm on a standard 7200 RPM HDD with nothing special, takes about that long. Maps aren't too big, so I doubt HDD speed has a lot to do with it (they're what, 50 megs?). I'm willing to bet it's moreso how fast your RAM / Northbridge is, as the maps are loaded into there.
