Re: More Time Between Rounds?

I don't squad lead often simply because I feel like I do a dis-service to the position. I tend to feel overwhelmed, and inadequate, and I worry that I might be doing a poor job of representing TG to pubbies who join my squads. Occasionally I will have a good round, but most of the time I feel as though I make all the wrong decisions at the wrong times, and spend most of a round getting me and my squad killed over and over again. Most of the time when I SL, I end up disappointed in myself and thinking that the five suckers I just dragged around the map would have had a much better time anywhere else!

A Basic Squad Leader course would probably help me overcome many of these performance anxieties. Maybe one of our exceptional squad leaders (and we have quite a few) is willing to step up to the plate and design and run a basic squad leader course? Whether or not it is affiliated with TGU, I would be more than willing to attend and I'm sure I would learn a lot from the experience.

O performance anxieties, the bane of many a man's existance...

On a more serious note, if there's going to be a SL course, I would also like to sign up for it. DaBrit has a good idea with that. Maybe going over SL specific tactics on a general case, and on a per-map case. For instance, the terrible overuse of the beacon and the devastating effects of placing in a location that's easily campable and then not defending it... Or maybe going over certain tactics that work on infantry maps and not on vehicle maps, and vice versa?

Lol, I could hear the sarcasm as soon as I read it from Takk's post .

On the subject itself, I agree with Zhohar, as my computer is so terrible, I remember that sometimes I couldn't even load Verdun until it had already started.
