lead to GREATER negative score! Getting punished 4x will get you a 1 round kick - thats it.
If you unintentionally teamkill FOUR times you deserve to stay out a round and think about avoiding it imo
Unintentionally teamkill is unintentionally as anybody firing the APC mortars on Berlin can attest. Team killing is a friendly fire incident, a military oxymoron, friendly fire... isn't. Team members will run to the point of impact of rockets, grenades, bullets, etc... irrationally as if to get a better shot on the monster (Forbidden Planet).

The question I have is what negative points are awarded for team killing? A little research revealed:
http://bf2142tracker.com/bf2142_game...on=scoresystem
Score Punishment
Team kill -3 points
Team damage -1 points
Team Vehicle Damage -1 point
Prima BF2142 Guide
Team Kill -3
Team Damage (>50% damage) -1
Team Vehicle Damage (>50% damage) -1
My mistake in thinking that punishments cause negative points is possibly caused by points for team damage followed by points for team kill. Am I wrong?

Re: RDX detonation
Probably, but I think the game factors in the damage along with the TK in such a way that if you "finish off" a wounded teammate, it's really -2. While if you kill a fully healthy teammate, you get -3 because of the team damage thrown on top.
Could also be worse. Here's another true story:
We're EU defense on Suez Canal Conquest. One person attempts to fly the gunship, but he is so insanely bad at it that he racks up -11 at the end of the round. The highlights:
-As he attempts to land in order to resupply, he makes a complete 360 degree spin and clips the three people who were in the waiting line with his tail.
-Crashed into the scenery multiple times, in such a way that makes it seem almost deliberate. As in, he flies around, then brutally just slams himself into the ground.
-Ended the game with 2 kills and 18 deaths (and a SPM rating of -0.36)
-Was ordered by his entire team never to touch the gunship again.
Checking up on his stats today, I found that he really was not born to play FPSes: his accuracy is 15% (as sniper!) his SPM rating is 1.05, and his K/D Ratio is at 0.75 and decreasing.GOD IS DEAD. THE N00BS TEAMKILLED HIM.

Re: RDX detonation
A while back I got the Motion mines unlock. I had previously used them as a field unlock with no trouble. The first map for full use was Belgrade EU side. Put a string out at Monorail only to have a PAC FAV scream by ducking past a friendly FULL APC. Thinking that it wouldn't happen again, I put more out for a repeat of the same maneuver. I didn't use motion mines for a month after that!

Re: RDX detonation
Motion mines are best used in combination with emp mines, or at the top of a steep hill or tricky turn that forces FAV's to slow down. Also, if you can force the FAV to run right over a mine it will always detonate.

Re: RDX detonation
Alas, if I only knew that then! Found that out by experimentation. Had been previously told in game that a total of five any type mines could be laid instead of ten (five each).Originally Posted by Augustus Gloop

Re: RDX detonation
My favorite was a while back on the TG Titan Server. My Titan Drop Pod bumped into a full transport. Moments later I was kicked from the server!
I never saw 6 punished appear on my screen so quickly!
