RDX detonation

I have a question about RDX. In a couple videos I have seen, people throw down a few demopacks, then do what looks like detonate one particular one. When I use multiple RDX, the detonator always blows them all up. Is it possible to just explode a single one?

Thanks.

Re: RDX detonation

Nope, henroast, it's impossible to choose which RDX pack you wish to detonate -- it's all or nothing.

Re: RDX detonation

No. If the guy manages to blow up just one of his packs, it's either a glitch or a cheat.

Re: RDX detonation

You can use a zeller to blow one up at a time if its on a mobile object.

Re: RDX detonation

Ok guys, thanks. What I saw must either have been a cheater or just my imagination.

Re: RDX detonation

They could also have thrown RDX down, blasted, then quickly thrown more down. I can't imagine the type of cheat or exploit that would allow one to selectively detonate RDX.

Re: RDX detonation

And anyway, better blow up too few RDX than too many.

True story: I have 3 packs left. I place them on a Titan console and run away. Unbeknownst to me, there's a supply box nearby, and as I furiously press the detonator, I end up dropping an extra pack at my feet and blowing myself up with two nearby teammates.

No punishes, amazingly enough.

People are generally pretty good about not punishing for unintentional TKs on the TG server. I've been punished for stupid things though... the worst being when a 'fellow' pilot/gunner combo pulled in to rearm and repair and T-boned my gunship at about 80 kph.

"You were punished for a teamkill!"
"You were punished for a teamkill!"

Wasn't on the TG server in my case. :-P

Once your number of punishes reaches a certain number, many servers will kick/ban you. To my knowledge, it has no effect on your score.

Basically, when you get punished for something that isn't your fault, its the other person being pissy that they got killed.

Punishment is for intentional team killing. The server rule is not to punish. Punishing will cause greater negative score and can cause kick/ban.

lead to GREATER negative score! Getting punished 4x will get you a 1 round kick - thats it.

If you unintentionally teamkill FOUR times you deserve to stay out a round and think about avoiding it imo

Re: RDX detonation

What if all four teamkills are from idiots who bail from the transport inches before you land?

I had this happen once. Hell, I've been punished multiple times by people getting teamkilled because they stood right in front of my sentry gun.

Re: RDX detonation

THAT sucks. Most likely that's just inexperience, but if it happens that way more than once, post a screenshot or writeup in the contact an admin forums.
