The Siege of Gibratlar- A new 2192 Production

My final movie for Battlefield 2142 features a expanded version and revamped version of the Camp Gibraltar trailer.

There are some sounds you haven't heard before, just wait and hear!

Very cool. Did you record all of the actual battle footage, or is it cut together from EA stock?

I wish I could record all that. I had to use the CAMP G Trailer from Electronic Arts, sharpened it and put voices where there was needed.

Re: The Siege of Gibratlar- A new 2192 Production

The real thing? With a AMD Sempron 3100+ and Geforce 6600, and with a limited income, I can't get a supercomputer to record live gaming with ingame sound, and add that with maxed settings. That's pretty much out of my reach.

I try to my best to record and use my own footage such as at the beginning where the camera moves through the camp and the end where I took a screenshot of a window on the map and enhanced it with a 3D-pool effect.

I attempt to make the best videos regardless of what my tools are. I love this game as much as you guys.

Thanks for positive comments guys!

Alrighty, if i may give some suggestions on recording with lower level equipment.

1:GOTO your volume control panel for winows, recording panel, and check the stereo option. then ok, then select stereo as your recording source. Now you can use any audio recording program to get your sound recorded with minimum cpu resources.

2: Nvidia cards, goto the nvidia control panel, read through all the settings and set everything for performance, and single display compatbility mode, this will improve frame rate.

3: Dont turn on anti aliasing when maxing your gfx settings, my oppinion, antialiasing doesn't show signifigant improvement in stuff like this, though others may disagree with that. 800 x 600 at 60hz is fine, also set your windows display colors from 32bit to 16bit.

4: Reduce your background processes. Ideally any game system, you should have no more than 26 or so processes running. Alot of ppl have 35+ services running they dont need further effecting speed.

if u would do me a fav, do the above, then inside the battecorder playback type

renderer.drawFps 1 (case sensetive)

hit the ~ button, then type the above
hit ~ to close console.

you should now see your frame rate in the top left corner, let me know what it is.

Personally i run a WAY better fps in battlecorder than real game, with the above tips.
