Re: Props to Dice and EA

I am very impressed that DICE staff monitor forums such as ours. Goes to show that they put a lot more time + effort into this game than any of us give 'em credit for. Thanks for an awesome game and thanks for still putting effort into it!

Its good to see forums which isn't a sea of ranting with no real constructive purpose. Keep up the good work guys.

Our server has talking teamwork as normal in many squads, come try it out, squads sticking together, squad leader commanding the squads. We play the game the way you designed it

lolz DICE sux.

I can imagine you guys getting tired of clicking through pages and pages of nonsensical crap. Concise feedback is always available amongst the tactically adept and mature individuals at Tactical Gamer.

Re: Props to Dice and EA

With the number of hours logged in BF2142 by many of our core players, it would be a very unwise decision to NOT include some portion of the TacticalGamer community with the testing of any future Battlefield game!

Re: Props to Dice and EA

As a player, I love BF1942 and BF2.

As a server admin, I hate them. I found them incredibly frustrating to set up, and refused to touch BF2142 for that reason.

My favorite from an admin point of view was UT2004, which had a highly-configurable web-based admin system built in from the start. Epic runs a mailing list just for admins, and staffs it with people involved with development.

Point me to the Dice mailing list that matches that of UT3 and I'll become a customer again.

Out of curiosity, what is it in BF2142 that you had problems with? What features could you not access on the server that you wanted?

Re: Props to Dice and EA

In my many many many years of playing games, not ONCE have I seen the actual game developers posting fansites and getting feedback. Being from a programmer myself, I have to respect that commitment to want to make the best game possible.

My respect for Dice has just gone through the roof. *checks to see what other games they make outside of battlefield*

Re: Props to Dice and EA

Good to hear Dice has watchful eye on us.

What would be good for your future releases would be map downloading with the game client (just as in steam games.) I think that would give longer life to the game and make the mapping community bloom. I dont really see many custom maps being played in any of the BF series except on the mods.

And if you need beta testers, E1st is your in-house-squad to contact
Some of us kan tala svenska också. *wink* *win*
