Hi everyone,

Just a quick question. Does the TG server have auto-balancing? The only reason I ask is that a couple of times I've been playing on the server I've suddenly found myself on the other team.

The only thing I could think of was being auto-balanced. Although when it happened tonight, me joining the other team caused them to be one up. Is this the case or am I accidentally pressing something when spawning or a key combination that switches me to the other side?

One of the admins will be able to tell you for sure, but I think...I think...the auto balance has been removed for server stability reasons. Maybe you are clicking on the flag at the top instead of your kit button?, not sure.

Autobalance has been turned off. But the server still switches people once in a while. It has happened to me recently.

Are you sure you didn't click on the other team's tab by accident? I've done it sometimes while switching between the kit and squad menus.

It might also have been an admin restoring the balance after one of the one team crashes we have been getting lately.

Thing is not to pay too much mind to being switched: as long as no one's bunny-hopping and people are role-playing real team-based weapons-of-the-future soldiers on the TS server it's better to be Red than that other thing. A spectator at a pogo-hockey match.

Oh I'm not overly worried, it's just that at the time I was leading as squad and I didn't want them to think I was a defector.

The clicking the tab thing is entirely possible, but at this stage I can neither confirm nor deny this.

I never switch squad leaders if I can help it, and I usually grab the first people to die.

We have had a few reports of the server switching people. Until it happened to me, I had assumed it was client error. I was switched while alive and leading a squad. The following round the server did not abolish squads. So things get strange sometimes. I think the server dreams of electric sheep.

If you happen to get switched to even the teams, DON'T SWITCH BACK. I'm just going to kick you to solve the problem.

I have been switched onto a team who is up by 5 players (damn crazy server) I have switched back. I hope there isn't a problem with that.

This came up last night with a few players.

If anyone is cought changing sides near an end of a round for a win point, You'll be banned for stat padding/exploiting. If you see anyone doing this, This is also reportable offense and the admins will investigate any questionable player.
