oh the inhumanity!

i spend $200 dollars on a 20' wide screen LCD and 16:10/16:9 isn't supported on my favorite game
anyone else have this problem?

It isn't natively supported, but you can force it to run at your default resolution by adding this to your 2142 shortcut target:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142Pace.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx xxxx +szy xxx

Replace the x's with you desired resolution and launch the game with that shortcut. Also, if you're not using the downloaded version of 2142, make sure you keep it as BF2142.exe, not the Pace part.

The game won't scale exactly right, but its very hard to notice.

This worked great for me I am now playing at 1440*900 which is the max res of my monitor and at high FPS too, due to my 8800, great all round

yeah this quick fix is a lot better than trying to play at 1280x1024
its much crisper now, and worth the little piece at the bottom and top you miss

thanks a lot for that, i followed that link, which lead to the tweak guides website and disabled those annoying intro movies
