    BF2142 Short Movie Competition

    This thread is just to gage the interest -- would you be willing to participate in a short movie contest focused on BF2142? Is your PC powerful enough to record video of BF2142 as you're playing?

    There wouldn't be any particular topic for the video -- show off a tactic, some fine shooting, a funny scenario, a music video, a "gun sounds" video, new features in the latest patch -- most anything would be acceptable.
    There can only be one winner and his (or her) prize would be bragging rights.

    The only restriction (beyond the obvious ones) is that the video can only be 30 seconds or shorter. The reason for this is twofold -- people are busy and their attention spans are short -- 30s is a nice sweet-spot. It also puts everyone on an even field -- some may consider "short" 30 minutes and some 5 seconds.

    So then -- would you be willing to participate? Got any suggestions for the rules? Questions? Ideas?

    LOL so far there have been 4 votes, and 3 of them were for PIE! you guys crack me up. and yeah i would be interested. depending on the turn out, you could have a "best of" for categorys like infantry work,vehicle,anti vehicle,aircraft, most kills with 1 grenade, best squad name etc etc and have those "best of" videos go for the grand prize

    I think we need more 2142 vids in general. I, for one, keep forgetting to hit the record button and afterward I usually say, "I wish I had that recorded." Regardless of if/how this contest turns out, I'm going to make an effort to produce some more.

    I'd say put the time limit up to 1 minute if that's possible.

    You'd be surprised how fast 30 seconds goes when you're tryna make something half-decent.

    This is not meant to be video as in Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Full of Fanboy Stuff and Ten Hours of Bilbo Looking Sad -- the idea's to show off a single event, something short, funny or thought-provoking.

    Also, I'm confused with the pie people. I'm going to assume they all want to participate.

    As well, I was thinking the final products should go up on youtube but if you guys have a higher quality alternative, throw it here.

    My idea, is we should make a tactical gamer youtube account, and we can have a monthly/annualy thing like this and we can post them up. But how can you get a video from xfire up to youtube?
