Voss: it's tiny, it's cute, it's easy to learn

PRO - Forty rounds!
CON - You must equip rockets to have a long distance punch.

Baur: it's ugly, it's hard to learn, it's VERSATILE

PRO - on single shot it's great at ALL ranges
PRO - you can pack the herzog or smoke and still have a long range attack
CON - smaller clip
CON - requires lots of discipline when working in close

That being said I suggest using Field upgrade or scavanged kits to try them both out. Unlock the one you think puts you in a position to better help your squad.

I use the stock guns 99% of the time, the other 1% is the voss. I would suggest looking at the unlock above each rifle and see which might be of interest to you. Slightly different approach .

I started with the baur, but I now use the voss. One clear combat situation always comes to mind. I flank on three or more units. I never prevailed with a bar - 20 round clip was too little for large fights. When i switched to the Voss - mostly for competive play - the forty round clip enabled me to score more kills. In fact I rarely now run out of rounds in a fight, with the baur i accually devolpted tactics to circumvent the reality that i constantly heard the oh sh#t click. Still using the baur will increase your overall skill level or decrease your K/D

I've been using the Baur for a while, I do like it but I picked up a Krylov FA-37 AR last night... I was actually able to hit things!

The Baur is a great gun, but I agree she is a beast to master, I have noticed my accuracy slowing rising over time, and with the Krylov FA-37 AR last night my accuracy was the best it's been in a while. In short, if you want to improve your shot, use the Baur for a while. You will see an improvement.

Plus the Baur unlocked will give you access to the NS 'Advanced Magazine' unlock, VERY helpful if you are a rocket lover... I know a few have already said this, but it is an important upgrade to have on any map. (In my own opinion)

Unload

Traditionally, I have been a Baur only user. However, I have since started interchanging all of the assault rifles. It mostly depends on what you want to do. Voss - excellent close quarters weapon, and also the best choice if you continually run into more than 2 enemies at a time. Baur - I love it. I can unload 20 rounds and count on at least 2 kills, but more importantly, the single shot allows you to engage before they are on you. Close quarters also shines for a Baur, as the damage per shot is more than other rifles. From experience, the Baur also reloads much faster than other assault rifles. It does take getting used to, for instance learning when to conserve or just unload the clip, take cover or a second or so, and continue blasting away. Generally if you run out of ammo in the Voss you will probably die before you reload. Anyway, another pro for the Baur is learning to use your pistol effectively!!! I can't count how many times I've unloaded a Baur clip into 2 enemies and finished the 3rd with a pistol.

But, in the end, Voss is easier to learn/use.

well i started with voss. low recoil + okay at long distances. 40 clip which is real nice. easy to use. The baur in one shot is okay at medium range shots. The clip is total trash with 20 shots. the recoil is enourmous and unless your right next to someone you cant use full auto. you will just be wasting clips. I say start with a voss end with baur!
