Advertisements...

Just wondering what is with all there new advertisements lately? I havent seen them before. Could this be only because im not a supporting member? I think TG gets enough revenue from SMs already to need these ads, though thats not up to me im just stating my opinion.

Yea, you are seeing them because you arent a SM.

You are correct. The ads go away for Supporting Members.

You have to remember that 2142 is not the only game that TG supports. There are other servers that TG is paying for and on top of that there is the costs for the upkeep of the site. None of this stuff is given to us for free.

Although I do understand the purpose and why, I do think they are a bit excessive even for nonsupporting members.

i was just wondering cause when i first joined i never saw these ads, must have been newly added feature i guess

As I see it, TG gets improved at a slight cost of an ad between a few posts...

It's a stupidly low price to pay for the improvement of TG.

its not that bad, plus, i learned that McDonalds has new salads! OMFGFGGFG! i would of never known!

ACK why was this information being kept away from SM? I think it's something we all have the right to know! if Rotten Ronnie’s has new salads that can only mean that they are getting ready for a world take over to install there own hand picked pink pony dictator as leader of the entire world, clearly it is important news!

OMG! i saw a really cool one! It was selling money for WoW! i think i am going to quit bf2142 (sell it on ebay), subscribe to WoW, and spend a bunch of money on WoW gold! but don't worry, another add taught me how to save 15% or more on car insurance by switching to Geico!
