Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
You've got a point, but the TG server is usually pretty good about being coordinated. I just played a game of Minsk not 30 minutes ago. I was SL with a mix of TG and pubbies, and we did an excellent job to take home a win. The squad doesn't have to be all TG to be supremely coordinated. We took and held 2 silos until the PAC shields went down, then we had their titan destroyed in less than 5 minutes.
And I must say it was a total blast and gave me a certain amount of satisfaction that is hard to get in conquest. I'd say put a bunch of titan in the rotation. Not a majority, but a bunch.----------------------------------------

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
Ah, did I misread the post as being the Titan shooting its AA at the other Titan? I thought he meant the ground pounders spamming a hostile titan with AA fire. My bad...

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
Ahaa yes that makes more sense. I am fairly certain he was talking about the anti-air guns on the titan. When they are both firing at the other titan usually someone decides it's a good idea to fire back so you end up with 3-4 high fire rate guns that have particle effects where they hit constantly blasting away with the titans near. For me it is one of the few ways I see any lag.

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
I'd like to see a "softly, softly approach". Up the Titan frequency to 2 or 3 per 20 maps.
I think going for 1 in 5 is a bit too much. Lets try ease into this. It may be refreshing to see more Titan but we don't want to kill the "newness". I can see a lot of people leaving the server when Titan mode is due if Titan comes up too often.
P.S. That Shockwave titan match April 27, 2008 was THE BOMB!!!!

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
The only question I have is, Can we see what this does to the population of the server when the map modes change? From Conquest to Titan and vice versa. How does it affetct the populations of the server and does it recover(if ill-effected) in a timely manner.
I guess the point is:
If the population drops off when changing from Conquest to Titan, should we run two Titan maps back to back?

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
Am I the only one who HATES Minsk Titan? I voted 4 to 1, but I hope we include Suez Titan instead of Minsk, since it sucks.
I vote we DON'T allow Titan movement, since it takes the strategy out of everything, and it make capturing silos impossible.
I'd love to play a TG titan server; the experience would be cool enough to warrant it a play.

Re: Want more titan in the rotation?
Are you monitoring the server 24/7? More interested in actual numbers and times to see what effect it has. If there is a severe drop when switching from C to T, then maybe a second T to stabilize the player numbers might be in order.
Player drop can be caused by many things, specific maps, times, etc. If an admin could point out the specific times the maps changes, then Game monitor should provide the appropriate feedback.
