We currently have 20 maps in the rotation. We have a single titan map (minsk) that we play towards the end of the rotation. The question I am asking you is how many titan maps would you like to play?

The results of this vote will help the admins determine the enthusiasm level for titan at TG. We will then decide if titan has a place on our main server or not.


We are aware our current rotation is great. But given some of the enthusiasm for the titan rounds I have heard on TS I thought it would be good to determine the feelings of the community towards titan. The current minsk titan mode was an experiment that seems to have been successful.

We are considering adding more titan to the rotation but really wanted to get everyone's input before changing anything more dramatically than we have done.

I started this game on Titan mode, I gave Conquest a try, but it sucked without teamwork (obviously this is before I found TG). Titan mode has grown on me over the half a year I've been playing bf2142 and is one of my favorite game modes. Having 1 Titan match every 5 Conquest matches would be amazing.

On a side note, I haven't gotten to play a TG Titan match yet, haven't been all to active due to classes and other obligations, but if TG Titan is as good as some of the reactions on the forums seem to make it, that might convince me to become a Supporting Member finally. (that and 48 slots instead of 54 means I have even LESS of a chance of squeezing in when someone disconnects)

If you like TG and Titan you would have loved the Shockwave campaign scrimmage that was played April 27, 2008. It was so nail-bitingly close it wasn't funny.

I said 4/20. With 1/20, that equates to roughly two rounds of Minsk a DAY. This means that for MOST people, it's unlikely that they'll EVER see Titan on a daily basis.

I wanted to sign up and join that Shockwave campaign, but I don't have a set schedule. In hindsight, I would've missed all but one of the matches... So I probably missed the one on April 27th

When commanding on titan minsk the other day I was disappointed to find that the titan movement was turned off, any chance of that getting turned on, or is the lag way to bad?

The lag is pretty horrible. I think that it really takes some of the tactics out of the game and makes commanding not very satisfying.

I'm putting in for more Titan, or I would like to request that the current Titan map be moved up on the rotation. Will all the stability issues it seem almost imposable to get the server that far into the map rotation before it (or EA's server) crashes.

Maybe it was just me, but this past weekend it seemed like you could only get four or five maps before a server side crash/reset. (Not to mention all of the CTD issues I had as well.)

As sc1ence stated, the lag titan movement introduces is horrible. Very few Titan maps give one side an advantage over another in terms of initial titan placement.

PLEASE, I was in shockwave and the Titan matches were the most enjoyable i have ever experienced. Adding titan will bring more flavor to the dish.

Personally, until 1.5 comes out, it would be really nice to have some titan. And a hidden aspect that few see in it, is that there is a lot of strategy in it. "Hold this silo", "Hurry! This missle is about to launch we need to stop it!" "Guys spawn on me and we will have 6 guys and we will head in to destroy the core." "Okay, i need <enter random guy here> to set up a defense while we go blow up <enter explodable thing here>" "Move in in a single file line so we can reach the console!" and that is just a few things i have heard during titan mode on TG. Once you think about it, Titan can be really teamwork needent.

I say three not too many not too less. But titan is pretty close to non-tactical, who needs a whole squad on a point and its too quick paced that squadleaders are to have trouble. I say its just in there cause its fun too play but there is nothing tactical about it. Not much with the team work really.

I would venture to say that titan, when played well, can employ as much or more tactics than conquest. My favorite scrim to date was a titan scrim on Minsk. There was a ton of action and although your individual life may not have mattered score wise, staying alive and defending your silo did. It was a great scrim, no balance issues and everyone had a blast (well, I'm not really sure if Bommando enjoyed it or not ).
