I don't have the beta patch, but I have go "wtf" with that flag on the roof. Are there ways to get to it that aren't ladders? Because that'd be a nightmare to assault...

the one in the video has multiple ways to get to the roof
stairs, two or three sets of ladders and jumping from the tower

this infantry map is very interesting and has remarkably different routes for moving around compares to the older stock maps, it feels 3D when deciding routes, while most of the other maps feel 2D ie everything is pretty much on one level ie ground level

I really like Shingles. My only gripe with is actually the opposite of Uranium's fears. Some of the flags are nigh on impossible to defend. Either there is several dozen routes to a flag or there is too much high ground around the flag. This is not true of all the flags but I think it's a majority. Don't get me wrong I think from my limited experience it's a brilliant map and really fun. I can't really make a judgement though until I play it TG style.

I have been playing it since yesterday(shingle) and had great fun, just finished a game before this post and it is very hard to both defend and assualt some of the flags but that just makes you have to think a bit more about what you need to do, if you have a good squad that is well equipped and can provide good intel then you stand a fighting chance.
My high ping did not help much, but I am going up to the mates house tonight for beers and bullets and to leech off his broadband, hopefully I will see some of you folks there, I will be the one running around in circles chasing my shadow screaming "enemy infantry! ,enemy infantry!" and shooting at the ground, if you see me do this either just walk on by or put me out of my misery.

They're impossible to defend from the flag itself. Unlike most maps, the key points to defend are not practically on the flag. Dune Station, for instance, will almost certainly fall if you get wiped off the buildings near it, regardless of what happens on the flag.

BEST MAP EVER!!!

1.5 beta is worth it just to play this map.

so many options to evade defenders, sure there are a few choke points but a there are many options to find you way around.
