Beta thoughts
id like to say first of all, thanks to EA for attempting a patch... but it seems like its missing something
Wake Island 2142: Ok map, brilliant for air battles, very small land area, unique map 6.5/10 Operation shingle?:basically Gibralter, Cebere, and Minsk combined, seems very 1 sided, 7/10 The lack of wide screen support in the beta left me sad. i cant wait for true wide screen resolutions. overall both maps feel just O.K. at the moment. of course this comes from only 2 hours of play(1 hour each), but they feel like they're missing something. hopefully when they fix it up a little it will improve, but until then im disappointed feel free to throw in your thoughts on the first trial of the beta!

Re: Beta thoughts
A shame, but I think it's kind of like beer... if you've never had anything but PBR how would you know whether a particular russian imperial stout was a good one or not...
Wake is like that great stout, an obvious instant classic to beer afficianados, a really wierd flavor for PBR drinkers. I'm glad I've learned about good beer from beer geeks and brewers and I'm glad I learned about playing battelefield from TG. Hats off to Sir for brewing a classic for us!

Re: Beta thoughts
i think i posted a comment earlier about "anzio" now known as operation shingle being Camp G on steroids, and i was pretty close.
i think the bottom line for me is that they are both built more towards team play. shingle wont be as easy to defend as camp G or cebere ( i say that lightly ) or such a meat grinder, but an organized team will do well and thrive. and its not inconcievable that the attacking team on wake (i forgot who starts on the ground ) goes half a round before they capture more than 1 flag. the docked titan with no shields makes it a real battleground, theres no where to hide and retreat to heal yourself where the enemy cant follow. (too many times i've put rounds into someone only to seem them make it into the hallway and stand 2feet behind the hall shield with medic hub in hand.) so teamwork will prove highly valuable. and as soon as i get my new pc together and back online i will be right back in the middle of it on the TG server

Re: Beta thoughts
Sir AAK625 you must have a serious set of stones to throw yourself headfirst into the EA forums like you have been.
