BF2142 Design Issues

I just have a question, is anyone else annoyed by the fact that the other team tab is right above the kit tab in the in-game menu. Heres the situation, you are in a consistant squad, having fun, u get a field upgrade, unlock it, and then when you go to hit kit you accidentally switch teams thus ruining that match for yourself. Or this can happen when your SL calls for engies or support. Why would they have the kit tab right below the opposite side tab so unskilled people like myself would end up accidentally switching sides?

Its not just the unskilled that hit this button by accident.

It happens, and it sucks when it does.

The "Resign" button for Commander ir right above the "Orbital Strike". That is never fun

TBH, whenever I rarely do find myself CO'ing, I'm never really using those buttons at the bottom denoting our peshul abilities. If i need to place something on the map I'll just right-click the spot and use the drop-down menu that pops up.

What gets me sometimes though besides the Kit/Opposing Team switch button, is that the 'LEAVE' squad button is right next to that little itty bitty button that collapses and expands the various squad rosters. I'll be set to SL and try to collapse my squad's roster only to find I've gone lone wolf lol. Never fun for me nor the unfortunately surprised chap now in-charge.

I've done that one as well. Then having to wait after re-applying is also annoying.

I dont have this problem, I use caps lock and enter.

Too true, then the squad starts getting deserted because they were hoping for some TG or well-known player to be leading them.

im the same as James. caps and enter and tab buttons, if i wanna use the mouse im always careful because i know this can happen.. but its not really a flaw.. you just got to be careful.

Thats what I do too. The only downside I've found of using enter is that if you, say, have the field unlock screen open, enter doesn't close the window >.<

And also, I've had times when enter spawned me even though I didn't have a spawn point selected and my SL told us to hold spawn >.<

i dont like how the enter key is right hand. It just feels more normal for it to be on left and that team changing team happens to me all the time!

Yeah I've had this happen to me a few times, once was on an almost empty server... I intended to grab a new kit, but instead I switched to the winning team. Now when I say wining I mean by over a hundred tickets. Then to make matters worse a |TG| from the side I left called me out thinking it was intentional.

I switched back, and rejoined the squad I was in, but this was before I took up the |TG| tag so when I tried to say it was an accident I got the 'yeah sure it was' response. I don't remember who it was that didn't believe me, but I can't blame them for not doing so. I wouldn't have believe someone who said that either.

Another time this happened was just this week actually, but this time it was my squad lead who clicked the wrong button. Doc was that you who I took over for or am I getting names mixed up? - It was on Tunis Harbor, Tuesday night I think

I like when I choose a field upgrade and when I say 'accept' it spawns me in.

I really wish there were keyboard hot-keys for CO stuff. That would make things so much smoother.

happens to me all the time, i wanna hit my pc with a sledgehammer! maybe thats a little excessive but you get the picture!
