The G7 has only one thumb button. Blugh. Logitech's really backpedaling. First the G15 loses 12 buttons and turns into a crappy display, then their mice turn to bricks and lose buttons and settings...

They said that they listened to feedback and gamers complained about having 'too many options'. No, sorry, there's no such thing as 'too much customization'.

I got v1 of the G15.

As for why it says Logicool, I really don't know, I copied the URL from this page (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ga...s/163&cl=us,en then go to Image 3 on Image Gallery) and it says Logicool there. Makes no sense to me why Logitech would change that... Maybe they're thinking of changing the company name soon? o,o

Agreed, I had the MX1000 before the G7 and having 10 customizeable buttons was exactly enough for what I used it for. Going to the G7 with only 8 customizeable buttons required me to drastically change the way I played some of my games (no sarcasm intended, if anyone here plays Ragnarok Online, I can explain why).

Yeah I have V1 of the G15. I don't use all the buttons, but they're at least there. On ArmA I have like all of them used.

I actually bought the V1 G15 last year, and spilled milk on it. Blew it up. Managed to get a new V1 when newegg was having a clearance on their stock. Should've bought like 3.

I've yet to find a game that requires use of all those buttons. For me I only have use for 4 so far, but i'm thinking of using them for some other stuff.

M1G14 = scroll up
M1G17 = scroll down
M1G15 = left click
M1G18 = right click

It's really nice for MMOs especially when you cast the same skill in the same place, repetitively, I just point the mouse and use the keyboard xD.

I should probably bind the solo gunship TV shot to one of them....

You know now that I think about it, I can see why they reduced the number of buttons. Is the newer LCD screen better than v1? I've heard mixed opinions whenever I ask.

The 'new' LCD screen is lower resolution and you can't adjust it. Some people think 'lol why adjust it' but the times I've wanted to flip it down to turn it off while keeping the keys lit, or simply changing my posture, yes, you DO want to adjust it.
