Re: 'Motivational' posters
Well, by the same token, someone who's brains have been blown out by a .50 caliber round shouldn't be able to be revived either. >.>

Re: 'Motivational' posters
Blown up by 5x rdx and run over by an APC. Still revivable.

Re: 'Motivational' posters
Whats better is when you throw a medi box on a dead guys head, and this makes them revivable due to some glitch.. Now that's realism!

What, after being non-revive-killed?

Re: 'Motivational' posters
No. Killed is Killed.
Throwing a medhub on a body will unclip it from other statics in the environment. Like my screenshot. Before I dropped the medhub, that mangled body was clipped into the barrier. By dropping the hub on it caused a collision to be managed by the game code and results in the body model being moved back into open ground. For some reason though, the state of that body in the picture would not let us revive him. I took the screenie after the first attempt before trying two more times. After my attempts, another in the squad also attempted to revive with no success. All the time, our fallen comrade was asking what was taking so long.

Re: 'Motivational' posters
What many people do not know is that a dead body has up to -200 HP. Once that limit is reached you will get the "Killed" status even if you were reviveable before.
But since this isn´t a bloody serial killer game there is no way to intentionally "gib" a body with normal firearms and knifes wolfenstein style.
Only weapons that are capeable of this are heavy weapons like the walker gun, APC mortar and the artillery. Even Grenades and RDX has no damage indicator vs reviveable bodies.
Also "instagib" weapons like the Pilum have a damage rating. Pilum does 400 damage and thus will gib a body as you can only stay reviveable for 300 Health.
The logic comes back into this when you think about the Friendly Fire option a ranked server can have. It cannot only be ON or OFF but can also be a %. Some Servers run at 50% FF for example - this shooting a friendly with a Pilum would only result in 200HP taken and him still being reviveable.

Re: 'Motivational' posters
Many times when I was seeding the server, I threw 5 packs of RDX down and pulled the trigger. When I did that, I could not be revived. Also, the timer when you are critically wounded must have something to do with how much damage your body sustained because sometimes after 5 seconds, you are declared "dead".
