Arrow Shockwave the movie ? ...

Shockwave is ending very soon! I came up with an idea : to do a shockwave movie!

As far as I know we had battlerecorder running during the games and i thought : Hey why not make a big "shockwave movie"?

So this is the trailer for it. Nothing special and no actual fighting in it ... It would take a lot of time to do this movie. You knwo 11 battles and maybe a story wouldn't be that bad as well?? Should I tell the story form both sides? EU and PAC? only EU - only PAC? NO IDEA!!
... So ... I don't even know if I have the time - but i thought I show you my idea

cya for the last two battles of shockwave!

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

The story should be told from the victorious side. I don't know if there is a squad on victorious side that has stayed together through the majority of the matches but it could be centered on that squad as they go through the highs and lows of 2142: Operation Shockwave.

Thumbs up Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

Great idea big-eye!

As you remember, one of the Campaign concepts was to have "Battle Reporters" that would capture video on Spectator mode and post some nice videos from the battles.

In addition, a final Campaign video compilation would be published as well and this video could be posted to other sites as a promotional video for TG community.

But no one opted for that...

Anyway, now we have big-eye

Do you have all the BR files?

I have downloaded them all - except 1 or maybe 2 BR files - so tell me if you missing a battle and I can send that file to you.

See you.

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

I'm opting for a "highlights of the campaign" movie rather than a retelling of the story from the victorious side. I know I'll sound like a disgruntled loser, but the EU has done some good shots too.

Hell, if we have enough time to waste, we can make a sports commentator parody and have a guy or two tell about each replay. For the purpose, we'd do a machinima shot of an EU and a PAC soldier speaking to the camera. Situation is that there's a brief moment of fighting as we open up on the movie, then the ongoing "round" ends with a siren and the soldiers stop fighting and gather up elsewhere. Meanwhile the commentators take the opportunity of the break to retell what happened during the Shockwave playoffs.

By the way, has anyone saved all the BR files? Those should be put on some hosting and shared, so whoever's involved in the making of the movie can go through these files and point out the good stuff that's happened.

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

I like that idea......... and i agree with sirnerd saving private ryan style, in the last battle there was a tank preparing to kill my squad and in the last second a guship saved us, that can be a good scene.
Only one thing, when doing the movie try to let the names of the players been showed so we can said "!!!ohh i m that guy¡¡¡", just a thought.

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

I'm sorry: what is "saving private ryan style"?

A memorable scene for me was: I killed 2 enemies with the Shotgun, the other enemy saw that and turned to me. I would shoot him but I was reloading. I got covered while reloading, but the enemy would killed me before I reload. Suddenly, my friend killed him at his back!!!

This is COVERING!!!

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

UPDATE:

Hey guys!

I started looking through the BR-files to see how many cool scenes there are. And I noticed that there is soooo much great action and teamwork going on in only ONE battle that if I really want to do a movie about all 11 battles this movie would take hours.

So my question is:
Is there one battle you guys liked best? Or a battle that you guys have in mind of outstanding fun? A battle of an extreme great twist at the end?

So I could concentrate on this one battle and would use the rest of the battles as "start up" fot this one particular battle. Could also be a battle the EU-team won!?!?! why not? could be a cool story then. "PAC came to our boarders - and we fall back. PAC took our home citys - and we fall back. But not now! Not again! The line must be drawn HERE!"

Thx for your thoughts

cya

BG, how big are the BR files? Is there a way you could E-Mail or Rapidshare them to me?

I liked the 16p Gibraltar map......we pushed the last flag hard as PAC.....neutraled it about 3 times before the final push took it.........

I smiled, grinned and laughed out loud....there may have been a WHOOOP in there too

Minsk Titan; EU pulled off a victory by the narrowest of margins with an all-out assault on the PAC titan core while their own titan was facing obliteration from five hostile missile silo's. (iirc)

My heart was in my throat watching the titan damage readouts while defending Console #3 with Little Rage from a kamikaze Lyramion.

Great round.

Re: Shockwave the movie ? ...

minks titan round. narrow victory for the EU team, one of the few rounds EU won and its titan mode, something a little different from normal TG
