I always hop when an FAV is trying to run me down, I figure one of these days it will go under me instead of straight through - hasn't worked yet...

I wouldn't consider jumping out of the way of a car bunnyhopping.
Bunnyhopping is jumping to avoid incoming fire. Not diving over obstacles, not jumping off a roof, not jumping onto a ladder etc...

Re: Wearing your tags, and breaking server rules:
I never report anyone for a single hop. Now the jack-rabbits on crack are a different story.
@TheDoctah,
I jump before being hit by FAV's too. I keep hoping that someday I'll be strong enough to actually jump over it and not be run down.

Please keep in mind the account server problems right now as well! I've been disconnected and rejoined only to be on the other side. Obviously not intentional.

Re: Wearing your tags, and breaking server rules:
That should be easy to filter out. The server logs would show a disconnect prior to your being on the other side.

Thanks for clearing that up, guys. I often get killed because I don't want to jump over the little rail or wall while walking backwards because it might appear like bunnyhopping.

I always feel weird about hopping over the tracks on Gibraltar while taking fire from Toll.

Re: Wearing your tags, and breaking server rules:
Okay, well i have grown a bad habbit. What i do is when im going to revive someone, i'll jump in the air, then hit prone. I usually do that so that i don't miss the revive, but ive been challenged before of bunny hopping. Is it okay if you do it like that? Its called dolphin diving i think. But the thing is, i'll do it when know one is shooting. When i am in contact, ill run>crouch>revive>run away!
So anyways is that okay? because sometimes if i am in fire and there is a wall or something, i'll jump over/around it and prone. Also, what about doing that if you know an enemy is around the wall. I have talked about this a lot and a lot of us think it is okay if you don't shoot. What do you all think about the jump>prone thing?

Nothing wrong with that. In regards to the "around a wall thing", it's a bit of a gray area, but as long as you aren't hopping around the corner in anticipation of someone being there, you're fine.

People speaking about themselves in 3rd person is pretty creepy....giving yourself a warning on a server really really begs for someone to sit you down and say...it's ok...it's just a game.

I'd say it's always faster, more likely to succeed, and safer to just crouch over them and hit their torso with the defib

Why hop when you can prone? The EU FAV is not a low rider like it PAC counter part, if you go prone, half of the time (if it's driving straight) it'll pass right over you.... Before you get up, check those reverse lights!

I wish I were that coordinated... I'll try to give it a shot the next time I find myself in such a position.

Re: Wearing your tags, and breaking server rules:
ok i freely admit that if you are barreling at me with a fav, i will try to jump out of the way, you usualy only get one jump to get it right and either you are safe or you're dead.
someone else mentioned that the fav for one side is different than the other ie; lower to the ground. i've been playing since the game came out and have never noticed a difference between the fav's. and i cant think fast enough to determine which fav is coming right at me and whether or not i will fit underneath it. if jumping to avoid a vehicle is against the rules i will, from now on, assume the "dear in headlights" pose and take my death.
i'm a 'tard. i went and looked at the fav from both sides and saw there is a real difference. i still wouldnt try and lay down under one coming at me.
