This is certainly not a new rule, I was aware of it before this gentle reminder. However, I do feel as though it is a poorly documented rule, and should maybe be stated more explicitly in a rules / SOP thread.

I have an example that hasn't been discussed yet, which I believe is certain suicide...although not exactly a tactic as it pretty much is just a help to the opposing team.

The enemy has your beacon zeroed in and is camping it, and the SL insists everyone keep dropping on it to certain death, over and over and over, with no revives. Just watching the tickets and your KDR wither away. This happens quite a lot, even with a veteran IHS member as SL. The outcome of this situation is rarely ever positive for the spawning team. IMO this is suicide in every sense of the word and I reluctantly follow an order like that and with protest.

That I agree with. Instead of mincing words here just change the SOP to be more clear on what to expect.

That's why I made this thread. There are people here that don't understand what some tactics are considered illegal. This thread isn't for everyone, It's for thoses who don't know. It's always been this way and it's nothing new. The only 2 new rules in the past 2 years has been rooftop beacons and using gunships as transports.

The rules are simple for a reason. Ease of administration. The rules cover a vast ground and allow us to admin as needed so people can't find loopholes in our system. We only us this when it's nessary. It's not something that we abuse.

People have always tryied to find loopholes. I been admining here for a good amount of time now. The most common exploit was UCB raids. Back about 14 months ago there was a rash of UCB attacks from TG people that were trying to find every reason to be in a UCB and legaly target players and vehicles. It got so hetic at some times that it became a battlefield itself. Rule is simple, you my only enter a UCB for the intent to destroy assets. Once that intent can no loner be carried out, Leave. We haven't had a problem since I delt with this and explained the rule better.

Oh and If i run out of ammo and run into a squad with my knife and pistol, isn't that more just crazy than out right suicide? hehe I got footage of me killing 3 in a squad with knife when i ran out of bullets lol :P but yeah, point taken
