So, while we're at it, any of you guys who have already played a little have ideas for a good squad makeup? I mean, the squad roles are changed with the introduction of the officers kit and the changing of the assault kit. Assaults no longer have med-packs but have frag and smoke grenades. I was thinking of an optimal squad for all-seasons:

SL - Officer Kit

SMs:
1. Assault Kit
2. Assault Kit (could possibly change to another support kit)
3. Medic Kit
4. Medic Kit
5. Support

My main questions is whether or not the Assault Kits are that valuable when they don't have med packs or bacta dispensers (defib)

I just got a decent squad on the only populated server that has a ping of less then 200 for me (Shattered Planet I believe) and I can say it was really fun. Got my first taste of a beacon, which is just a little antenna that is on the ground, no pods. However, proximity mines make it EASILY camped. I had a good time, being the only competent medic in my squad xD

Anyone else having problems with FS?

When I click deploy after map load, my game freezes until I hit escape and then I get the message 'BF2142.exe has stopped working, click here to end program'.

Try reinstalling the patch, and make sure you extract the installer before using it.
