You see, there's this thing called life. At times its unfair and it sucks. A job is part of this time. Having one is unfair and it sucks. But you get one to afford to live and to have the little things that you want, like a supporting membership here at TG!

Do what I did, and simply go over them.

It's like asking permission to go to a concert you know they'll say 'no' to anyway. Technically, it's not really wrong if you never gave them a chance to say 'no' in the first place.
