Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Its where a bunch of TG guys go onto a public server and just pwn left right and centre, raising awareness for our group while kicking butt.

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Foxtrot, a raid is when a load of TG people hit the same non-TG server.
Usually a raid would involve a very highscoring TG team showing the pub server how the game should be played and if a lot of TG made the same side i.e. a whole 2 or 3 TG squads on the one side, then that team would most probably win by a fair bit!!

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Us Vs. them scrim would not mean imposing our rules on them, it would mean we play the TG way, and they play any way they want. The whole point of the "TG way" is using teamwork and maturity and staying objective based, while other run around looking like maroons while we own them silly. Let them bunnyhop, camp, not follow orders and and vehicle steal, it will just mean more ownage from us.

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
You played the game like you've always played it. Nothing wrong with that.
You outplayed others on the team and the server in general. Nothing wrong with that.
You showcased the skills and techniques that you've acquired at TG exceptionally. Nothing wrong with that.
The only thing that's wrong is the people you were playing with. More often than not, people who see others performing at an exceptionally high level of success in these situations are often quick to accuse you of the aforementioned hacks or cheats. In their minds, it's the only way to justify your effectiveness as compared to them. We can be guilty of this too, if not to the same degree as the people on the server you were on. Bottom line, your playing has nothing to do with their perception of you being a hacker. Their inexperience in the 2142 world leads to that.
About wearing your tags or not, as long as you uphold the ideas and core of the Primer, you're free to keep your tags on. Whether you're 3rd or 55th, you have the right to display where you come from if you believe you represent TG.
That said, maybe we should go show them what TG is REALLY capable of doing.

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Didn't we just have a whole thread about team balance and fairness? How is a raid different from a team stack on the TG server?
Or is it because we’re on a different server that teamstacking is acceptable?
And who would we be even stacked against? Random pubbie players and two, maybe three Moongamers?
So what would a teamstack accomplish, other than sully our reputation? Should it be a hallmark of TG that we all jump and fret when a random child allegedly spouts off an inane insult on another server?
If indeed the Moongamers insulted one of our members, is it not beneath us to reply in kind? Is it not beneath us to show equal immaturity by teamstacking on their server?
A proper response, I believe, would be to contact the Captain of Moongamers regarding, first of all, an appology to Jimmy, and secondly, to schedule a friendly scrim.
If we are so confident of our skill superiority, let us match them, man for man, and show them what TG stands for. The question of whether they will abide by our rules is the key here: I predict they would not, and that works in our favour. We can show them that our focus on maturity and tactics gives us a real world edge, that our focus on teamwork and communication improves all of our personal skills. Most importantly, though, we can show them that we can outsmart and outshoot them while playing fairly and maturely.
A fair fight is what I advocate. A server raid is nothing more than a teamstack. It isn't acceptable conduct on our server and it shouldn't be acceptable conduct on anyone else's server.Fight!

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Name the server and date and I'm there

It's gonna seem odd to them when 16+ TG "hackers" (only make the quotes more massive) join their server and school them the TG wayAwait the moment for one, and only one, well aimed shot.

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
This has happened to many of us, you played exactly the way you should have and should be proud of taking the high ground. Like Lorax said, I would have stayed untill they kicked me or banned me but that is just me.
You know you are playing the TG way on a pubbie server when you get the message below.

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Allright guys if you want to hit another server fairly, TG way, signe up on the "Up for a server X hit" and once we got at least a full squad we're gonna set up the date and time.
It's not about show anything to anybody, but just to test our skills and have fun in a different environnement for a cupple of round.
Signe up !!

Re: A Fundamental Question about TG Representation on other Servers
Something like this recently happened to me on a Cerbere Landing server. I joined midway though the game, so i joined a partially full squad. The squad leader began to taunt me over my tags and such. I didn´t say a word back, and just left.
