My vote goes to anything that makes for more realism.....FF damage should be the same as enemy damage....100% all the time!

As for those who want to play with RDX and bunnyhop etc. these should be non ranked servers just for fun!

I think it doesn't really matter. TG and FF on servers are like playing the game on a harder difficulty and some people simply don't have skill. So let the kids have their kiddy time servers and the men will continue to enjoy the excitement playing with good players. It really does help to keep bad players off good servers.

More to the point, what do you care? I couldn't care less what other people do for points.

If all players played like TG, we'd have a reason to make FF-off an unranked option.

But with the way the average pubbie plays, especially in Titan mode, take a look at what happens when FF is turned on:

-Sentry guns in front of sentry guns (LAWL TEAM VEHICLE DAMAGE!)
-Console huggers.
-Core huggers.

A TG player knows better than to hump a Titan core while he's Assault class and there are five gigantic black boxes glued onto it. A pubbie doesn't care, and more often than not, I end up getting punished for actions that actually make my team win - but so many are hellbent on shooting at the core with an LMG rather than covering my busy recon ass that I find myself getting shafted even though I'm trying to help and should really be the only person in the core room with a supply box behind the fireproof wall.

I guess FF off is probably for newer ppl etting used to the game and ff on is ppl that no the game and would like to play it at a more difficult level.

I just go looking for titan servers and cant find an FF on server, and if i do advanced server search I end up on overseas server with high ping

I think it is just preference and you shouldn't be penalized for playing the way you want. I have spent a lot of my play time (and that is an absurd amount of hours) playing ff=off and rdxing. I really like that stupid teammates can't go "lawl lawl I shot you in the back of the head and Im like tooo stupid to revive you" on ff=off. I think the game has many ways to be enjoyed from playing different classes, gametypes, and altogether outlandish ways (rdxing, knifing, and what not). I would say some of my fondest memories of the game come from knife servers and being the "n00b" at the top of the scoreboard from rdx.

Another silly thing about FF=Off: Friendly EMP still affects you. I once saw a couple of *******s on the Titan (not a TG server) just spamming EMP grenades on the gunship and preventing anyone from using it. Nobody would bother to vote him out of the game, there were no admins around, and we couldn't kill him.

Thats where creative rdx to launch them off the titan works.
