Allright but once we admit that what do we do?

Would we need more admins to make sure if ppl do stupid things they can get advice or kick?

Talk about a problem in one thing, finding solutions is another matter. You can all tell me that BF was crazy before and I will answer you that I'm sure there where stupid ppl like there is today, for simple and good reason, stupid ppl exist. So, what do we do? We stop playing?

Well, do whatever you want guys, but I think that all you have to do is to stick up and focus with your squad. Knifers are EASY to kill ... even if they get you some times. They stole our walker and there's not admin online?? Let's destroy that damn walker !

Well... all that I mean is that the enviroment is a part of the problem, but if you dont contribute because you gave up or your frustrated by something, you become a part of the problem as well.

I can tell you that happened to me too (as well as evrybody), begin play in a team or where there were no commander, 7 équipe some of which consisted of 2 persons etc etc ...
What I'm I doing ? I do my squad, the people join and those who do not work as it should, be expeld and that's it ! I give order to y squad member and they understand, end of the line ! If you dont want your SM to stay on the flag whatching the sky then learn them ( allright, 3 on the flag, one medic stay out) ... and it's fixed.

Reaper I dont want to be a pain in the butt, but I saw you online a cupple of times, and you always play with the same ppl with "lock" squad. I have NO PROBLEM with that but it may be a reason why it's harder to find good gamer when your online, simply because they dont know your good gamer. Take " Mk0r, june2142 or yamholigan " for example, they are NON-TG but they are freaking great BF players. Squad up with hem and you'll be suprise.

Finally guys, it's okay to denounce a problem, but we must also act.

I went on the Pistol Elite server, expecting to use my pistol. It was like that, for awhile, with the occasional knifer who crossed and tried to kill us. Then one of the enemies started using RDX, killing my whole team. He also threw frags, and the admin did nothing. Our team begged him to kick the guy but the admin did not. The griefer was doing it in front of the admin too! So I went against server rules and Orbital Striked the other team and was banned immediately. (Don't worry, this was before I joined TG)

So, it's a decision of what to do. I know what I did wasn't right, but I was tired of watching my fellow soldiers, who were following the rules, die because of some griefer who was friends with the admin. With all of these griefers, it may seem like the bad outweighs the good but maybe TG can set an example and turn it around.

What you did was right, those servers should be shut down, as knife/pistol only servers aren't allowed, or at least so says EA.

I too have noticed a huge lack of teamwork lately. I don't mind if someone tries to knife someone, but if its gonna get them outright killed with no hope of them getting revived/benefiting their team, then they just really failed their part in helping their team.

And someone mentioned that its not good to play late night, well, I remember back last year, the server would still be kicking till about 2 AM or later, and have next to no problems.

I usually play with the same people because I just find myself getting disappointed leading a squad that has no cohesion. You can tell your squadmates to do things, but when they don't listen its just not nearly as fun. Granted, I could definitely try more often, but I selfishly would rather play with people I know will follow orders and REVIVE.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this game and TG, but we as a community need to step up and really shake things out, or at least get people to revive more often.

This thread is not about knifers and no, we won't implement a rule saying you can't use your knife.

If there are problems on the server, report them in chat and in the appropriate "Contact an admin" forum.

How the hell do you spawncamp with a knife? That would require standing in the middle of a bunch of spawnpoints, watching them, waiting for someone to show up (and then chasing them hoping they don't see you).

If you got knifed as soon as you spawned, you were likely a victim of circumstance, ie: a guy was attacking, had to switch to his knife, and you were a target of opportunity at the time. Would you have felt better if he just shot you with a shotgun instead? Or is it because he got your dogtags that you're upset?

You stand at a spawn point with the intent to kill people before they know your there as they spawn in. How many kills you get does not determine if they were spawn camping it only determines how good at it they were.

I believe the rule goes that it is spawn camping if your killing people in a way to take advantage of the fact that they are not familar with there enviroment yet.

Yes and no, it becomes a gray area when assaulting a flag. Assault the flag and kill people spawning and your okay, just hanging out at a spawn point and killing people with no intent to capture the flag is spawn killing though.

I agree with you - to put it more mildly, the solution is ownership. TG members must take ownership for themselves and for their squads. How many "Learn TG" squads are out there anymore? How many people take the time to teach instead of just play? The issues with the server are issues that can be easily addressed... if we take the time to do it.

I think it can be done. And I'm willing to give it a try when I'm on the server.

Did you watch the battle recorder, did you observe this person for the entire round? dont toss out a blanket statement like "this person was running around with their knife out" without being able to back it up. And for the record, yes I have watched the BR.

Reaper, this isn't the first time you have started a thread just to complain about how much you hate 2142 and how much the TG server sucks. If you don't get any enjoyment out of it and it pisses you off all the time then why do you still play it?

Sad, but today around 6:40 pm EST, I remember flying with Repaque, and we had the unbalanced team problems and the idiot players.

That happens on pretty much any server. Nobody has any control over it. One day, the match is even and doable. The other, you're in a situation where you can barely even shave a ticket off the enemy. The latter happens much more often than the former. Hell, I just came back from a game where I scored almost double that of the silver star. And yesterday, I went into server after server where I was on the receiving end of a gigantic ass-kicking and my team was doing pretty much screw-all to try to remedy the situation.

I propose a possible solutuin: What if we set a few more admins( not saying you admins are bad, you do a great job) That play very late at night regularly. Then they can mmoniter what happens. Just a possibility to pick someone who is on regularly late at night. We all have lives yes but becuase of time zone it mabe be possible for us to set an admin who plays at a certain time when no other admins are on and wrong doing occurs. I know that was confusing but just give it a thought...
