Professional Team?????
My recent obsession with playing battlefield 2142 has found me searching for more time to play. I just can't and it got me wondering. I started researching professional video gamers and teams. Apparently there are people out there playing video games full time and living like rock stars travelling around the world playing at events and taking home 6 figures a year if not more.
My question is if anyone knows about professional battlefield 2142 or battlefield 2 teams. If there aren't any, I suggest looking into starting one and what a better place to recruit than TG. (if a team is started i call a spot for coming up with the idea LOL,hahaha)
If there already are professional events and teams out there i think TG should seriously think about putting a team together.

I really do not think you want to join or make such a Team.
Most of the Players that play for money just travel from game to new game to catch the tournaments that bring in the most money. Game companies usually make big $$$ tournaments for their new games to attract people.
An old game like 2142 has almost no more money value to them.

Valid point. from the research i did it seemed like a big percentage of the people making money lived in asia and more specifically Korea. I am just expressing my recent thoughts and i think everyones dream. That we could play the games we love and make a living for doing it. LOL
Does TG have a ladder team at all? I think i would be happy enough just competing with a team that practices together all the time and plays against other teams.

Counter Strike is one such, and StarCraft (and to some degree, Warcraft III too) is, if you seriously are interested in playing E-Sports professionally, take a look at those games.

yeah thats another thing i saw constantly. E-sports was dominated by starcraft. Too bad cause battlefield series is seriously the best PC game/games to ever come out. Of course thats just my opinion and I'm a huge sucker for this style of game.
talking about this has brought up another question. What is everyones favorite Battlefield series game. Mine is definitly Battlefield Vietnam. Something about taking a Huey Gunship and blaring music like in Apocolypse now. LOL I just wish the graphics could be upgraded to 2142 specs.
In all reality, I wish EA would come out with a new Collection Game. Have all the maps ever made on any of the games in the series, with the new graphics so you would be able to play all the maps on a server without switching games and putting up with the horrible graphics from hahahaha 5 years back. LOL

I played 1942 and the AI was lackluster. I kept calling for a medic when he was right next to me and didn't heal me.
