GET ON TEAMSPEAK ! Do it !

If all you new guys around want to keep the 2142 community alive - join the Teamspeak.

Teamspeak makes things so much smarter and fun. About a 1 minute timeframe for smacktalk, compliments and random chit chat after rounds end and a new round starts is an invaluable thing that is not to be underestimated.

There is much to be learned and said between rounds outside of Squadchat. Plus we get to know you! Thus hop on Teamspeak - no longer be a mute soul only barking "OMGZ I jut got Sniped" occasionally in game.

I like TS because of the smack talk. You can also play Marco Polo on it.

IMO, teamspeak should be a requirement to play on our servers as a TG player. From an admin standpoint, it is a great tool for reporting infractions. For guys wanting invites to squads, its a great way to get in a squad that is forming before it is unlocked. Just keep a few things in mind, while a round is in progress, keep chatter down to respect other players. When you set up you teamspeak, bind a key to talk, no one wants to hear you breathe or your chatter to the rest of your squad. Hope to see you all in TS soon!

Teamspeak is great! Without it, I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten the squad invites that have let me get to know some other players.

I agree, we should be in TS more often. The in-between round chat is great. Definitely go with "push to talk"

Agreed, TS is the best thing that's happened to my gaming since I got a mic and joined TG. Trash talk is fun, coordinating between squads is useful, and it helps get to know people and their voices.

Open teamspeak - go into "sound settings" and set a PUSH to TALK key on your keyboard. If that doesn´t work ... mmm ... dont know... maybe you have Stereomix enabled?

I don't hear enough smackgabbery on TS. I don't end up talking on it much, because most people don't and I'm still fairly new so nobody knows me yet. Though I suppose it may be more entertaining if I had a few rum & coke beforehand (hmmm...)

With in-game VoIP, I'm just a piece of meat running around with a gun. I just shut up and take orders. I always get the impression that cracking jokes and such interferes with the SL giving orders, so I don't even try.

TS is the way to go. When I first joined TG and got on Team Speak my enjoyment of the game easily doubled. You get a chance to joke arrowed and you get a real sense of camaraderie.

If you are not using it, get it!

You walk around saying "Marco", your target replies "Polo". Usually you play with your eyes closed but the walker has enough blind spots already.
