After playing BF2142 for a fair while and find it highly enjoyable, I have been looking for a group of people that, rather than adopt the "ooo look, a shiny object in the distance, lets go chase it" approach, confront the game with a little more intelligance and orgainization. I am well used to strategic FPS spending some time with the MARSOC clan (you may or may not know them) who amongst other things played OFP which as you may know, isnt exactly fast paced when played, MARSOC however mainly specialises in FTF and this hasnt really interested me for one reason or another, and the members seldom go on BF2142. I wanted to ask a few questions as to how active the TG clan is in regards to BF 2142 and server info etc, also what times it is best to catch you guys, I live in england, so the time difference between you guys is +5-7 hours (providing the main base for your community is in the US) so if the main time you guys play is at 22:00, it would be a little late for me! Any answers to this would be greatly appreciated, and I hope to get to know some of you and join up on the battlefield.
First of all, we are not a "clan" as much as a community. We have various In-House squads that participate in a number of games and functions, but as a community we are open for all who wish to join.
As for the server - you can find TG members on at almost any time during the day. We have an In-House Squad that is made up of dedicated European players (the E1st), and they are typically on during their free times. As for the rest of us, we are on at varying times, generally during the evenings of our own time zones.
We have two servers running - a primary Conquest server and a secondary server that runs a mix of Northern Strike and vanilla 2142 maps. The Conquest server is almost always active, save a short period of time during morning EDT. The server holds 46 players (though reads 48), and all are welcome to join.
Bear in mind that we have a program called "Supporting Members", whereby members who contribute monetarily each month get priority access to the server. Beyond that, all are welcome to come in and play and have a good time.
I strongly suggest you take some time and look over the various documents on server etiquette and rules/policies. I believe you will find them to be of great benefit. Beyond that, I hope to see you in game sometime soon!
I hope this answers your base questions - if you have more, please feel free to let us know!
If you don’t mind a LATE night take a look at Password Friday coming up next week, it will be a great way to get to know everyone and get a good look at how we do things!

Our server is ranked 14 in the world for traffic, so its busy
It normally fills by 5pm euro hrs (GMT)
In Euro evenings there are approx 7-15 TGers on at any time (server is 48 players and always full once seeded)
Late evening after 11pm (euro hrs) there are more and more TG on as thats 5pm US time
... so basically its got action in euro hrs ... so hop on the server and join some TG squads
Thank you all for your quick and warm welcome,
I played your conquest server, albeit for about 10 mins as I was quickly rushed out to do something, a few |TG| members were on, in already formed squads,
For BG2142 do you use a TS/Vent server and if so is it accessible for people such as myself, or would I have to subscribe?
Thanks
Eithos
Our TS is open to all forum members. Click Here to go to the page and get your username and create a password. Our TS is normally used for before and after round chat. There are channels for most of our games and IHSs. I hope to see you on there.
Welcome! Just a tip, as the server has been especially busy of late, don't get frustrated if you can't get in during the middle of a round - people always leave a little into the start of the next round. Sometimes it just takes a bit of waiting. And praying.

Or become a supporting member and you're guaranteed a slot!
Welcome! Always good to see new faces. We are mostly based in the US, but we do have a fairly active Euro contingent--some in England, some Germany, one in Greece, and I think Finland and Norway are in there somewhere, so you're not the only one around. Hope to see you on sometime! As previously stated, please do read the server rules and SOPs before donning the tags, but once you've done that, you're welcome to do so.
Many squads are still recruiting I guess and best way to prove yourself and make friends over here is to join one. Look around and team up with anyone you see. I would be glad to have you as a squadmember cause I've started squadleading for good now!
Hello. Names Belander. I have been playing BF2142 for awhile now. Had to take a short break but am back and have enjoyed playing with TG members on your server! Its a great atmosphere and i was wondering how i can become a part of TG and this community.
think a new thread would be more suggestive for your "saying hi" but of course...
I don't think you have any nobel quests to serve on a field to take part of the community. I just came signed up on the forums today and joined some funny rounds out there. So your steps were similar and I would say...
A big welcome to TG, hope to see you out there soon
Well actually if you look at the stickies at top there is a large thread already dedicated to introducing yourself, but it seems a lot a new people have missed it as of late.
Oh well, the important thing is that you all are here and ready to learn what it is to be |TG| and how to play |TG| style!
Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
