A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
REVENGE!
Ahh, revenge on the battlefield -- could there be anything sweeter? Being killed ten times by the same fellow and then finally getting even? A bit more than even? Tell us all about it! Post your stories of sweet, sweet revenge. As usual, let's keep it mature -- this isn't a thread to showcase your tag collection or to report improper conduct.

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
I've got many stories, but I can only remember a few.
I was commanding in Highway Tampa and I always set traps for the enemy when the assets squad comes. So I'm placing EMP and motion mines for the buggy. I finish with the EMP and Sat-Track. I noticed a red dot moving fast so I leave the command screen and I see the jeep. He turbos right into me but I laid a few motion mines before and exacted my vengeance on him.

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
My all time favorite:
A long time ago in a version far far away, we were on Camp G, getting completely obliterated by Lyramion and his unparalleled walker skill. After dying approximately 13 or 14 times, I managed to cloakrush past all the enemy troops and safely around the backside of a building. Lyra was taking fairly decent punishment from our frontline engineers, but was still tearing us a new one. His trusty repairman got sniped out, but as we've all seen his ability to jump out, self repair, and jump back in unscathed, it didnt seem to hurt him much. But I had a plan. Still hiding safely behind my building and taking no fire, i had my entire squad rush to the front as engineers and start pounding him. As they opened up, I cloaked up and ran to the side of the walker. As soon as lyra hopped out to repair, I planted my knife firmly in his gut and jumped in the walker to save the day. I started blasting away at the backs of the enemy infantry, but having no support or engineer kit to repair myself with (bonehead me didnt pick up lyra's kit), I went down faster than a sack of bricks. However, it did feel really good to take down the unstoppable walker god with a well timed knife to the back.

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
I was playing Camp G and we still tried to rush toll station. So i rushed with my squad above the catwalks. In the first try i was recon and used the cloak. And then.. emp grenade ( i still don't get how these guys managed to see us ) we all started to shine like a disco and after a few seconds .. "BAAM" head shot / down.. i wasn´t really happy about that so we tried it with a kinda medic run on the left site again. At the begining the run went well. We don´t get shoten to much and managed to stay all alive. Guess what happened.. Same sniper sends me a " love you " letter right in the head and my corps was push down the wall and my squad was unable to revive me. I don´t have to say that i started to get a bit pissed about this sniper guy but have to accept his skill. The rest of the team get toll already and things turned. On of my SMs told me the position of a sniper who killed him and i decided to equip the shotgun-addon for the BAUR and got one of this little brats. After i cleared an APM mine with my face i FINALLY reached his position and it was him... the guy who sniped me down the wall/the catwalk and kicked me with his mine. So here he was... this guy was pretty pain in the ass the whole time but in a flashing of acknowledging his skills i decided not to knife him.. i shot him in the legs so he was able to notice me ( i really want that the last thing he would see was my face and the muzzle of my gun) i exhausted my whole magazine of the shotgun in his face even while he was dead after the first shot and got my sweet revenge.
not to say that i feel pretty eased after that greets

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
Still remember New Years Eve - I was hiding on the hidden outside ledge spot on Central Camp on EU.
Reaper came around the corner with a knife - thinking he had it easy because he had my secret hiding spot. Little did he know because as he just came around the corner he had a knife in his gutts. Poor reaper - nice New Years present for me |

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
Last night:
After mercilessly decimating my walker (while taking no damage himself), killing half of my squad, and even knifing one of my squad mates, Eroak finally got what was coming to him: my knife gave him a good dose of doctor-recommended love. ![]() And for good measure, immediately after knifing him, I told everyone to get off the flag so that it would cap slower, and when he spawned back in, I saw him on the IDS, ran over to him, and my shotgun gave him yet another dose of that sweet, sweet lovin' ![]()

That is mean, but Eroak had it coming. That spawn camp was a bit over the top though.

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
Playing the second server an non |TG| individual was giving me and my squad some sniper heck. I got shot at least three times before I was able to figure out his position. Then I lit him up with rockets red glare.
That's why you never stand in the same place too long... Well this individual continued to make my squad life a living (or rather dieing) nightmare for the rest of the round... However, near the end I saw a dot on my Mini-map and chased it around a building, guess who I found? Standing still shooting round after round of sniper fire, I quietly walked up and took his tags... I got a huge 'congratulations' and a lot of 'thank yous' from my squad for getting them as well. ~ Draken |

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
On the second server, there was a sniper that was commander in Port Bulvaria. He got on top of one of the mountains and made life for us miserable. At the end of the round, I found him but it was too late, we lost. Draken, was that the guy who you knifed?

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
Maybe a year ago or so, on a non-TG server, I found myself going up against a cheating EU commander on Cerbere Landing. This guy had it working so that the recharge time on all of his commander assets was ZERO.
He was throwing multiple orbitals and emps at our team. We were stuck on foot as no vehicle could make it through. We were getting decimated. Out of shear will power I hefted my squad of very nice voip-enabled pubbies up the west approach to command center. I found the guy hanging out under the back side of one of the two large fuel tanks in the middle of the Command Center courtyard. I walked up to him and planted my knife squarely in his liver. What's more, however, is the revenge that my squad then took upon him. With me as medic, one support and two snipers we proceeded to camp his Orbital Strike launcher. We spent the rest of the round RDX'ing the O.S. launcher and the constant stream of supply crates he dropped on it in a vain attempt to keep it repaired. (sometimes with 10 or more crates on the ground simultaneously) I've been in some great squads here at TG but none better than that happy gang of pubbies working together to bring a cheater to his kness. Our team won the match. Our squad chat erupted with cheers! I wish I still had the screenshots but I lost them in a PC rebuild since then.

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
In Tunis harbor I was capping Junkyard flag in that box near it, when James suddenly knifes me. I tried to knife him several times after it, he even got me 4 times at Sidi...
I was finally giving up, and didn't try to find him all the time, so I take gunship at Suez conquest, fly over their base and I think got bombed down by hostile gunship. Land directly at their gunship spot. No1 seems to notice me so I knife closest person whoa appears to be James! Couple taunts into chat and cold answer "I just have to knife you second time". I finally had my revenge... Until Daith1 knifed me...

Re: A dish best served cold ... or between the shoulder blades.
A few months back my squad (EU) was defending Oil Station on Suez Canal. There was a recon that insisted on sniping us from the towers off to the side. We finally dislodged him enough times that he decided to snipe from the tower in their UCB. Since I like to sit up on the ridge line and spot troop and armor movements for our team as well as prep my squad for any incoming adversaries. I became his primary target and it got old fast. After he sniped me a few times in a row (I was revived each time) I finally told my medic to let me go the next time, I wanted to change kits.
I get my head shot off yet again but this time I come back as a recon with decoy and advanced cloaking. I head up to the ridge and sprint cloaked towards their UCB. I drop my decoy off right outside the wall and find a hole in the rear to let myself in. I run through a squad waiting for the gunship to spawn (literally, right between them), around an hostile running towards something else (FAV maybe) and ultimately climb the tallest tower in the main. It was a long climb up the ladder and I kept expecting to get shot at any moment. No shots ring out and I get up top. I crouch walk over to the sniper, whip out my knife and start slashing the air next to him. After four slashes he finally hears me and turns around to see what that noise is. I take one more swing and gut him and then something must have happened to my crouch key. The next thing I know my soldier is crouching, standing, crouching, standing over and over again. This went on for a few seconds until his body faded away and all that was left was his kit. I was tempted to pick it up and lay an APM at the top of the ladder, but that would have been wrong Instead I left it where it lay, hopped off the tower and hightailed it back to my squad whooping all the way back. ![]()
