Re: LEARN TG Sunday
It was a great time, f'sho.
We had a LOT of really close rounds yesterday with the Learn TG crews. I recall several rounds of 40 tickets or less difference...and there were even a couple with less than 5. Good times!
Let me take this opportunity to remind all SL's to verbally direct new players to our website, and thank them for playing here.

Re: LEARN TG Sunday
I'll be running it exclusively. One thing I find helpful is that there is one and only one experienced sm who helps the new guys along because it frees me to do sl stuff and not be as busy fighting.

Re: LEARN TG Sunday
BUMP! We all need this. We have to keep teaching people the TG way. All you newly christened people, hot off the TGU books now need to put into action your new skills by teaching people what TG is all about. That it isn't learning and then keeping all your new uber skills to yourself and here in TG. The primer says this:
"[We are to] Create an environment where there was mutual respect for your fellow gamers and where all members would be working together to advance the enjoyment of their hobby."
That means you have the responsibility to help create an environment where members and future members can learn from us and help make this hobby just that much better.
Please remember to only have perhaps 2 TG people in your Learn TG squad. You and a squad member to set an example. Be firm but gentle and understanding. Above all, be fun, have fun, and LEARN TG!!!

Re: LEARN TG Sunday
I ran a few Learn TG squads on Sunday, and I had a blast. A few wins, and a few losses, but a good day overall. Thanks to all who squadded up.

Very well put Oniell. The more people we have to contribute the better it will be. I want to gather as much skills as I can possibly can. I played this game just as a fun pass time. Now more so I'm taking it a lil more serious as being more careful in battle. Reviving and supporting more. It's helped me to be a better soldier. I'm game for as many classes I can attend. I have yet to attend one...so my eyes are peeled for them. Latina...........out

I was actually looking more information in how to actually run a LEARN TG Sunday ( as in guidelines ) as opposed to given the squad a synopsis of the TG primer and kindly teach them teamplay.
I did read when I originally signed up many many moons ago. I guess tis time for a refresher

Re: LEARN TG Sunday
I haven't ever seen an official guideline around how to run a Learn TG squad. My personal approach is to try to introduce folks who are new to TG to some of the basics of running in a TG squad -- holding spawn, following orders, calling our kits, reporting contacts, communicating, etc.
As most of you know, I'm no hero when it comes to SLing and can't introduce anyone to advanced tactics. But I've found that most of the time, the TG minimum is way more than people who join Learn TG squads are used to. That is, our minimum is plenty.

Re: LEARN TG Sunday
As you say, our minimum is higher than some peoples high. If we can(and will) introduce them to our ways then w00tles!
