While it's important to pass along certain information, there's no
need to be nervous about running a Learn
TG squad (assuming of
course that you are up to speed on
TG rules and regulations).
There are no direct LTG squad rules that I'm aware of. Suggest just having fun
and teaching people how to be part of an effective squad.
Here are some of the things I do in my Learn squads:
* "Thank you for joining the Learn
TG Squad. If you have questions at any time please ask."
* Mic check.
* "I'm going to ask you to hold spawn and spawn on squad leader only. That means deselect your spawnpoint and select the green dot. Spawn in when I ask you to. "
(PS don't get mad when they mess up and spawn in early. )
* Practice calling squad members out by name frequently. They may not understand that you're talking to them otherwise.
* Also, take the time to explain your tactics to your squad i.e. "It's important that we hold this flag so that we don't bleed tickets."
* Remind them to check out TacticalGamer.com when it's slow.
* Adjust squad leading to squad members' experience. If they're
totally green, keep it simple and explain a lot. If they know what
they're doing, step it up and challenge them.
* Thank them for following orders and joining the learn
TG squad.
