Video PSA: Don't forget your RDX when taking out enemy assets.
Just a short video that I did to commemorate what fellow 8th members would deem to be "typical catman"
The enemy commander took me out with an orbital and I was having a decidedly bad round, so I figured the best use of my time would be to destroy the commander assets. Once I got back there I realized that I didn't have any RDX and since I had spent all that time getting back there I figured I had better do something to amuse myself.
Now after the match it was asked why I didn't attack the commander after he knifed me. Since I had forgotten to bring any RDX I didn't want it to look like I had intentionally gone back to provoke the commander into a fight and kill him, it just felt un-TG like. I've always followed the mantra that if it feels wrong you probably shouldn't do it, unless it's outright illegal then do it anyways.

Aw crap I just realized I didn't change the credits to the movie. The end of the movie has the original song that I used Denis Leary's A**hole, but it had too many curse words in it for the little kids that visit the forums so I used some Weird Al and Hannah Montana.A captain of the most awesome IHS ever and remember to burn before you pillage.

I've done that myself a couple times, you take the Ghost and camo, but forget the RDX which you wanted in the first place
.
Usually then I just go in kamikaze style from behind...it takes someone...special...to think of something like that...
. Most excellent sir, I approve of this video as hilarious.

Beautiful, I think you should try that on every map, then make a compilation for the next video contest.

Re: Video PSA: Don't forget your RDX when taking out enemy assets.
This was one of the most confusing moments I ever incountered in play. I thought 2 times I was dead. 1st time I thought it was a pubbie coming for a easy knife kill. 2nd time I accidently pulled my knife by my dislexic fingers hitting 1 insted of 3. So I thought Catman was going to turn and lay me out with the Lambert. So I'm thinking to myself, what the hell just happened? Here I hope on TS and asked what the heck just happened. I think Ion replyed and started to laugh.
I was kinda funny. To bad the orginal cant be posted

Okay so it is now official: If as CO I ever ask you to do a 'Catman' everyone should know what I am asking them to do...

Thanks for the laugh and thanks for being a good sport about it as well...

Thanks for the kind words everyone, sure Eroak, you "accidentally" pulled your knife...

Like I tell everyone, including dirtboy, getting my tags is like paying for sex, it feels good at the time, but after you realize the number of stabs that have been taken, you feel a little cheap.
Hey Draken, good having you in my squad tonight!!!A captain of the most awesome IHS ever and remember to burn before you pillage.

Great video. What do you use for in-game video capture?

Re: Video PSA: Don't forget your RDX when taking out enemy assets.
I use FRAPS for my video capture, this was one of the first videos I've used a lot of battlerecorder footage in. Good dear lord why doesn't battlerecorder have a rewind button?. We would have had some more teabag footage if I didn't have to wait the entire round for that one point to come up halfway through the map :|
Draken, I just noticed this. I wouldn't ask any 8th members to do a "catman", it has a completely different meaning within the squad.Last edited by Catman1975; 07-25-2008 at 11:58 AM.

I'm wondering why you used a Miley Cyrus song.......

Re: Video PSA: Don't forget your RDX when taking out enemy assets.
I really like Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus songs. She's seriously underrated as a serious performer and I felt it was time she got some exposure to the world of video games.
Plus it seems fitting, "I've got my eyes set on you"
I couldn't use the song I wanted because of language and there were too many curses to be replaced with meows.A captain of the most awesome IHS ever and remember to burn before you pillage.
