Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
I have no idea where this has come from. In no have have I seen the 3rd do any wrong. Except killing me...
I see no problem with wanting to play with the members of your IHS. That is the point of the IHS, to play with people who share your same look at the game. For example, where else could I join a KNIFE D squad if Smachin wasn't there?
The teamstacking isn't really a problem, you guys have 3rd SFD night which is an amazing idea and keeps you all on the same page. We're all just afraid to turn that corner and see Zho's shotgun in our face. Someone is always complaining about teamstacking. Sometimes it's the pubbies, other times veterans. It can be depressing to lose a couple rounds in a row.
The 3rd makes amazing contributions to the BF2142 community. You guys are great to play with, and it's nice to not be the only girl on teamspeak sometimes.
Greifing? I don't see it.
I look forward to playing with you guys soon!

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
If this post had been made a few months ago I would have had a much longer reply and probably a great deal of detail on the matter. However, in the interval things have cooled and calmed considerably and many of the comments and statements I could have made no longer apply.
Let me preface here: By and large I have a good deal of respect for the 3rd. As I have said in many other posts I consider you, Zhohar, to be a fantastic person and a truly stand-up kind of guy. Most other members of the 3rd I have enjoyed working with in 2142 and TS as well. I could name names and give platitudes but that's not really relevant at the moment, is it?
I believe that there are one or two members of your IHS who spoil the batch, if you will. I will not provide those names because those members are not seen anymore in 2142. To that end, I have no problems with the contingent of 3rd who I regularly see in 2142. I consider your IHS to be very professional both in-game and in the forums. And, believe me, if I have problems with anyone in your IHS I know who to speak with to work towards a resolution.
Now, let me say this - and realize that I do not mean it harshly: I have noted that when the 3rd is all playing on a side many who wear TG tags gravitate towards that side over succeeding rounds. I recall several rounds over the past few nights where the ratio of TG tags on the teams wound up at around 3:1 or 4:1. This may be where the misconception of team stacking is coming about. Beyond that - I don't know.:madsmile:Captain, 8th Mercenary Division:madsmile:

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
I love all 3rd members and I appreciate playing with or against them anytime. I must admit before I joined TG as a supporting member, I was a bit jealous of your teamplay and everything. I thought you guys were making fun of me being a newb. But I realized you were only having lots of fun with the people you appreciate and know.
Probably that new people around are the one who said such things and I regret for them to be so selfish and not open minded.

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
Love playing against w/ the 3rd. That Zho character, elitist at times, I would have to say yes, but generally great guy. Last thing Vortex said is true sometimes and I'm sure several others have thought the same things. Ofc, other servers can be fun too.

In all seriousness, though, I think TG-3rd is a very fun and talented bunch. Perhaps some of the bad feeling you're describing, Zhohar, may simply be a result of players desiring to feel more important and feel more included in the really dynamic and fun TG-3rd Squads? With that said, other than the occasional non TG'er complaining about team stacking, I haven't heard any complaints.

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
Ok Zhohar, I think we need a different approch.
People who like what we do and feel their post will have no repercussions. But what about people who do have a beef with the 3rd or a member that is still active. We might have to take these comments by PM. If the 8th put up a post like this, I wouldn't say anything bad about them even if I did think something was wrong. I would fear that the public would flame up my post and it lose it constructiveness.
I can say as a member of TG, That Zhohar made a post that was out of line in the AAR forums (it was later deleted). It was very un-TG like. We did correct this privately. I know some saw this and thought the same thing. But yet here we are and everyone is commenting on how they like us so.The soldier formerly known as, Eroak.

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
The problem here is the third recruited the 'best' of TG. The best leaders, the best shots etc. etc. I have no problem with this and I don't see why anyone would. The problem is when you take three of the best TGers who have played regularly together put them on the same team in the same squad and they get three decent SMs then that team will suddenly have a huge asset. That being said there have been few times I have doubted any members of the 3rd or the IHS squad as a whole.
People see 3-4 3rd on the other team see their team is losing and the odd one will call team-stacking. If you define that as team-stacking then yes, the third are team-stacking but I know I don't define it like that do you? (I really wish they had those twirling, flashing '?' as smilies).

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
The non-stacking has improved so much of late, to the point that you can't ask for much better from any public server. If/when a few players do switch for whatever reasons, and a whooping occurs, I see it even out very soon afterwards thanks to some very thoughtful community members. I don't have a problem if they or anyone else want to play rounds together, especially since they're a competition team (I see small groups of non-TG clans all over). I also think that most TGers enjoy a good close match as much as I do, and that has shown. I don't believe they or any other IHS wouldn't split back up if things got out of hand. Great job to all!
Also, I pretty much won't play anywhere else now. I blow off my own brother (who enjoys no-vehicle servers) to play here, and that makes me a terrible brother, lol. See what you've done to me?

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
But I see 100 point losses where we had a full squad of 3rd and 2 TG lead squads.
I think the biggest factor on over wins it a decent CO (lesser factor) and muiltiable SLs that are awesome at thier job (greater factor). When Zhohar and I both lead squads and then add in another like Lorax or Vortex. You just setup a team that will work together rather then a team that will work independently.
When the 3rd squad in one squad, Thats more of a waste of resources then a benifit to a team. You have one asset thats great, but if every other SL is a pubbie thats def-mute, then most likely that team will still lose. Honestly, its the TG SLs that know they are good SLs, like Reader, Zhohar, Lorax, Rage, Silver and more that need to watch whos on what team. If they start to see to many good SLs on one team and win to much, then these people need to switch teams. Not the people who win high points.
remember we are TG, Points dont matter here. We revive to much. Its the teamwork that will win.The soldier formerly known as, Eroak.

Re: An Honest Query from the 3rd.
I can safely say that I have no complaint with the 3rd. Several members have responded positively and welcomingly to my sudden appearance on the forums, even though they have yet to even see me on the battlefield (Mac patch issues).
If there's one thing I would suggest, it's that some of you read more carefully what is said to you. I applied to join the ranks of the 3rd, and messaged around to a couple members as well as Damonte. Each of the replies to my PM's never really directly answered my questions. I felt a bit put out... that it didn't really matter what I was saying because you guys didn't know me so well. I hope I can show all of you that I am worthy of the Thunderbolt, but more importantly, uphold TG's values as naturally as if it were breathing.
From what I hear, the 3rd is a great place to be. And if I can join the ranks, I will make a point to balance teams, if the community really feels that it is unfair when the 3rd, or any IHS for that matter, are all stacked on one side.Last edited by LordKelvin; 08-01-2008 at 10:13 PM.
