Battlerecorder For The Complete Idyot
I just got my Wheels Of Hazard pin in like one second tonight on Carebear when I came zipping down the hill in the jeep.
I have no idea how to use battlerecorder.
I write my own digital video editing software and Id really like to use that for some sample videos on my website if anyone can help me. If its even possible.

In terms of controls I found this...
I've also had a few people recomend BattleDirector from the Sir Community, but I've never used it so not sure what to say...Q – opens the Playback Rose. Move the mouse to highlight the desired playback option and press the Left Mouse Button to select. Options available here that are not bound to separate keys include "Restart" and "Quit".
T – opens the Camera Rose. Choose the camera option or cycle through the available players.
1 – Pause the playback (also available in the Playback Rose).
2 – Playback recorded session at normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
3 – Playback recorded session at 5% of normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
4 – Playback recorded session at 25% of normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
5 – Playback recorded session at 50% of normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
6 – Playback recorded session at normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
7 – Playback recorded session at 150% of normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
8 – Playback recorded session at 300% of normal speed (also available in the Playback Rose).
Spacebar – cycle between players.
Right Mouse Button – cycle between free camera and player camera.
Mouse wheel – zoom camera in and out when locked onto a player.
W, A, S, D, Ctrl and Shift – move free camera around map, forward, left, backwards, right, down and up.
Mouse look – aim free camera.|TG-55| Infantry Division - Captain / JD Student

Battledirector is currently broken last i heard, with the 1.5 patch.

Don't install Battledirector or you won't be able to watch your demos with the function of BF2142!!!! A update to fix this problem is in progress!!

Actually, you have to play the videos in 2142 and use some sort of screen capture program to caputer it. I use x-fire. I'll post how I do it later. But it's easy once you know how. The unfortunate thing is that you cannot just get an AVI from the server. They would be much too big, but it would be awesome.

Wow - Thanks for all the info folks - I will don the mad scientist goggles and try tinkering a bit later.
As a matter of fact Catman ... I spoke with my business partner ( twisted his arm ) and we have decided to provide any interested Supporting Member a free copy of our software ( so you save $150 )
Although we ask that you provide as much feedback as possible as its the only way we can improve upon the software.

I was thinking I should make a post in the general section since this is the 2142 section and all the other SM prolly wouldnt come here and see it - and I was also thinking I prolly need to get permission from the HeavenlyAdmins before I make the post ( sorry if I broke a rule already out of ignorance which isnt an excuse I know )
Im not sure if I shoudl bug Apophis with this or not, but could some moderator or other person-in-the-know please tell me who I should talk to ?
The software is available at my website and works without a Serial Number ( watermarked output ) You can PM me for a serial number and I will make you one and PM it back to you. If Im able to work out an arrangement with the HeavenlyAdmins then Im guessing they will dole them out to verified SM's or something. I should mention its PC only and you need a graphics card with shader 2 support since we use it for rendering and all our filters run as shaders on the card
