Re: Default controls versus User set
Default keys and settings. I occasionally turn land vehicles sensitivity down for the gunship.
I have to thumb buttons on my mouse that i use for VOIP and Teamspeak. And i have numb pad Enter for command chat.
I use mouse scroll wheel for selection and i'm pretty fast with it.Former Cutthroat, established Merc.

Re: Default controls versus User set
I've tried the mouse wheel, but I almost always go past what I want.

Re: Default controls versus User set
I always hate with the wheel there if you select something but don't click fast enough it does not work. I try to use the number keys as much as I can. except grenades. those are on the "F" key because 7 is a bit of a stretch.

Re: Default controls versus User set
Come to think of it...my "F" key doesn't do anything.

Re: Default controls versus User set
wasd movment keys
z prone - as a baur user i rarly prone but i find it a practical comfy place when i need to
shift run - originally a dod habit
ctrl crounch - wasd standard
space jump - this was interesting when i broke my spacebar and couldnt parachute
caplock squad voip
v commander voip
m map
and now the important ones
left click shoot
right click scope
thumb click rockets - this is the left on the side of my mouse
middle mouse aka mouse wheel defibulator
and most important change i made to accomidate this game
right click on side of mouse is primary weopon to quickly switch from burst to single
hmmm everyone has preferences but I'll just like to say this. Bind highly usable items to very smooth accessable keys. This is the first game i played on a 5 button mouse and it makes a world of difference with the extra mouse buttons. Weopon switching with the right hand is a more smoother flow than with the left hand I found out and I recommend a try for anyone who doesnt do that already. Even doing a simple thing like switching to defiulator, ressing , and switching back to gun is a lot smoother and faster when done by mouse hand rather then left hand. Problem with left hand is it usually requires a momentary stop to swith while with the right you can swith faster and on the fly. Just my IMO, but its a new one to me and left a rather 'wow i didnt expect that' factor.

Re: Default controls versus User set
I'm having a little trouble. I'm liking using mostly default keys now, but I've wanted to move my push to talk button from 'V' to the right thumb button on my Microsoft mouse, but it won't accept the change in 2142. When I go to re-assign that command, I click it, then hit the thumb button, 2142 locks up for about 5 seconds, then unfreezes but the command is still set to 'V'.
Any thoughts?|TG-55| Infantry Division - Captain
