    Spartan's out for a bit

Hey guys i haven't been on in awhile thats cause our computer got a trojan virus, Antivirus XP 2008. Well it seems that after trying to save the computer the hard drive needs to be re-formatted and maybe replaced and haven't gotten time to do that so when it's done i should be back up and running around battlefield. Also i'll apologize for missing out on the rest of Shockwave unfornately only made it to one.
    Peace out, Spartan

Ooh, reminds me of the times we got the VirtuaMon virus in Networking. Hope to see you soon.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about it. With OS and applications reinstall it can be a solid day of work (or two if you "need" all the stuff like I do ).

Heh, thats the same virus that I currently have. I deleted it with anti-virus., although its effects are still messing with my comp. Gonna have to reformat it sooner or later, but I have been putting it off, as I have to back up my stuff.

try using Avast anti-virus or AVG they are both free for home users, I use avast and have yet to be infected with anything, it has also caught all threats before they could do any harm, it also has a screen saver that scans your p.c when you are not using it.

And stay away from the pron.....

I work at a computer store and we have at least 6 people with the same virus.

I don't use anti virus. Sounds crazy eh? Anyway, I can reload my OS (XP Pro SP2) on my primary HDD, reinstall 2142, install all my drivers(video, sound, UPS, mobo...) all in about 2 hours plus or minus. It comes with having done it alot over the years to many computers

Murgh. As it turned out, I had to reformat my comp earlier today, so yeah, I pity anyone inflicted with this horrible virus.

I came across a nice writeup for this piece of malware: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/08...omy_of_a_hack/.
Someone put a lot of work into getting people download it and then part them with their money.

Doood, you're gonna get burned hard seriously. There are so many top-notch AV programs that are FREE to use. There's no reason to be faffing about without a condom on the internets.
