Sorry guy's, it's someone else's turn to Command for a while
As some of you may or may not know, I have been having a lot of issues with my computer as of late, and well... today I'm afraid it took it's last breath.
About a three weeks ago, I lost one of my two hard drives. It was just a spare for more storage, so it did not phase me. Luckily I had just backed it up a few days prior. However, just in the last few days, I have started to have many blue screens and full system lock ups. My first thought was that I was losing my main hard drive as well. However, losing two drives in two weeks is either really unlucky or a sign of something else.
That brings me to today. I'm not sure if it is because of age, or because of the freak power outages that I have been having, but the short story is my power supply is toast. While this could explain the hard drive failures, It could also be unrelated. There is also the chance that it killed something else off when it went. If my motherboard or anything else is also toast, it could be a while before any of you get to team kill me.
I hope to have it up and running soon, but for the next week or so, I will not be on.
So... with the TGU Commander class coming up, Now would be a really good time to give Commanding a try. (Lord knows I won't be able to.

Re: It's someone else's turn to Command for a while
Thanks for the heads up, however, a new PSU and hard drive are already on order. (Newegg rocks)
The issue right now is whether or not my old power supply killed anything when it went. Which I will not be able to find out until after my new power supply gets here (Thursday or Friday).
If it took out my mobo ("mother board" to you normal people) when it went, then I am up a crick. Currently, I'm running an AMD 4400 X2 processor that uses a 939 socket. Well you really cannot find mobo's with a 939 socket anymore as AMD as switched everything over to the AM2 socket. So if that is dead, I'm looking at a new mobo, processor, and ram. (my current ram is only DDR, not DDR2).
I really hope that that is not the case, because at that point, I'm looking at just building a whole new rig. Unfortunately, funds are not at the point where I can really afford a new rig. But gaming aside, I cannot be without a computer. So right now I'm just hoping that my old PSU did not kill anything. Otherwise... well, I'd rather not think about it.

Re: It's someone else's turn to Command for a while
Well, I picked up the Command chair for a round or two yesterday and hopefully didn't do too bad. I'm probably not as good at you as commanding but I'll try to keep commanding running until you get back.

Re: It's someone else's turn to Command for a while
You give me too much credit. A commander is only as good as his team. Just a word of warning. Be careful commanding, you might find out that you like it.
Well I was able to piece together a few old parts I had lying around, so at least I will be able to stop in and say high... Well without begging Draken. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the support. With luck I will be able to thank you all properly with a knife in the back by the weekend.
