Re: Show Us Your Tips!
Great tip Fubar!! I don't cry over spilled milk, but a spilled Deschutes Black Butte Porter would definitely bring a tear to my eye.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
**BUMP***
Quick SL Orders
You don't have to open up the map to give an attack/defend objective. If you want your squad to attack/defend a control point, point your crosshair on the control point's flag and issue an order. It makes it much easier to give out orders and you won't leave yourself a sitting duck while you're looking at the map. Just look at a flag/silo icon and hit T then click. You automatically give the correct order.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
If your Squadleader asks you not to spwan in because he(or she) is trying something a tad bit stupid. (Like driveing a FAV in between a walkers legs) DON'T SPWAN IN!!
I can't tell you how many squad members of mine have died because of that.
On a side note Do not get in a FAV when I'm Driving unless you are prepared to lose your life.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
Running away is a valid tactic.
Remember. A coward dies a thousand deaths, and a hero only dies once. But he dies the important one.
Now, I don't mean, an entire squad retreat, just you on an individual level. One man cannot beat 6 men. He doesn't have enough ammo.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
i will go for revives anyway sometime.. i call the person out so he is able to make himself ready to fire. and if your not alone there but your SL is down.. always go for the revive. cause maybe he will die again.. but you reset the timer and maybe some one else is able to catch him.
just my opinion.. not a real tip

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
A few tips I've gleaned from around (Compliments mostly of Schlock Mercenary):
1) "Rule 34: When the going gets tough, the tough call for close air support" - Never ever be afraid, as a SL, to call an orbital down if you feel it would serve some good. As a Commander, coordinate your orbitals with troop movement - if you have a squad rush in after an orbital they can wipe out a lot of disoriented enemies.
2) "Rule 9: Never turn your back on an enemy" - if you need to make a "strategic withdrawl", do so facing the enemy and walking backwards - especially if the rest of your squad is running and facing the other way. This way you can guard their backs and help stall the enemy long enough for them to get in a better position.
3) "Rule 35: "That which does not kill you has made a tactical error" - If your enemy has missed you with his shots (especially if he's a sniper), he's doing himself a fatal disservice. Take cover, find him, and fill the space between you with lead or rockets.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
Schlock Mercenary FTW man.
This is just how I use a sniper-
Only on armor maps, with zeller and rdx and apm/stabilizer
I RDX the flag and watch it, while my squad moves around helping others. First sign of trouble I notify and attempt to engage from afar, and if they're on the flag/silo, I push the RDX when there are more than one, and it's good night gracie.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
This is a hell of a bump. But I just wanted to add a tip that I have used for a long time which people may not know of.
When trying to co-ordinate squads in accomplishing a task, keeping track of another friendly squad on your map can be a bit tricky. In the squad select screen, using the corresponding number keys, you can highlight a selected squad in white, to compliment your green highlight. This way you can keep track of your own squad as well as another. Unfortunately it only stays highlighted in the squad select screen, and not on your mini-map. Nevertheless, I find it a very useful tool.

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
Something interesting that happened for me as commander on belgrade a few days ago:
Someone on my team threw a pds on the ENEMY tank. I could see its exact location the entire game. lol.
So, if at all possible, throw a pds on an enemy tank/apc, ESPECIALLY if it is someone real good driving that never seems to die...

Re: Show Us Your Tips!
Use light armor, it helps with running and doesn't hurt your health that much...I read it somewhere here, tried it, never went back to that checkbox
