When leading a squad, try to get your squad mates involved and use VOIP, it will greatly increase your chances of having them listen to you and follow you around.

You can use the pick-up key (G) to pick up your deploy-able items (IDS, Sentry gun, mines, etc)

When commanding, there are times you should announce your findings on team chat so your entire team can hear you rather then just your squad leaders

I would have to disagree......typing takes the CO away from what he should be doing.....chain of command FTW!!! Besides I NEVER read the chat messages....I just don't have time unless I'm dead!
