    Wink Impromtu Password Night Tonight???

    In light of Jazy finding new maps to play, I would like to test them out tonight as a special Password night tonight. I would like to see how many people want to do this as well.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but both servers are ranked which means locked from allowing content changes. I'm not sure if this is possible.
    Without darkness, how could we measure the light?

    Ranked servers can not modify their content, but can add a password, passwording it is about all you can do. However some BF 2142 server providers incorporate a 2 side 2142 server meaning that both the ranked and unranked server version are there allowing you to switch between the two and also upload modded content to the unranked side. so the admins may want to look into that.

    oh and if we run on wolf servers, look into this as per wolf server forums.

    What is Game Switcher I am sure your asking yourself...

    Answer:

    This free service is included when you rent a Ranked Server (BF2 or BF2142). There is NO charge and it's done automatically!
    You will have the ability to switch between a Ranked and Unranked server when ever you need or want to. It will have the same number of slots as your Ranked server has.
    Within our GCP (Game Control Panel) you will have the ability to run either your Ranked Server or your UnRanked servers to run matches or mods on.



    Just login to the GCP (above) and click on the "Game Switching" icon.




    Then just select the server you want to run and click update... It's starts up the other server automatically.

    Yeah that is true. The issue was discussed already and admins noted that ranked servers can't modify their content.

    It is possible, but our servers are ranked, and ranked servers have to remain under complete control of the host, so we can't have FTP access to them. Our private server or any server that can't be ranked could be used.

    Tempus will be loading the 3rd party maps onto the private server sometime next week.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong, each player would have to down load these new map to their computer to play them once a server has been chosen. Right?

    I'd be in favour of simply crashing one of the servers that are already running these maps -- just to get a feel for them.
    I've found a couple of unranked servers running the maps -- who would be up for joining off those and checking out the maps?
    If map vote is on, we can even change the maps ourselves.
