Teamspeak?
I know TG uses teamspeak, but what's the diff in game? I mean I hear you all use VOIP on 2142 just fine, and I can talk to you all too, so what does TS help with in game?
I'm trying to figure out if I should just DL it or not.

Re: Teamspeak?
TS is worth it. TS provides an opportunity for SLs to talk directly with SLs along with the commander. It is a more open channel and provides for more tactical play.
And you can't afford to miss the smack talk in between rounds.

Re: Teamspeak?
Ah the smack talk... Priceless...
To be honest it is one of those things that you really never know how much you miss out on until you start to become a TS regular. I've gotten to the point that I won't play 2142 without it. To add to Miss Beat's comments. TS is a way to organize squads find out about impromptu events, or just pal around and chat. I've used it numerous time when messing around on different servers, 'pubbie raids,' |TG| University events require TS, and in all it is a way to see a different side of the community as a whole.
I would strongly recomend you give it a try. Just one request, be sure to set your mic to 'push to talk' or you may get yelled at

Re: Teamspeak?
Yeah. I basically just go on because of the humerous smack talk. Makes me laugh.

Re: Teamspeak?
Set up teamspeak binds as per this post
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...ml#post1091457
you can then move between teamspeak channels without alt-tabbing
a good way to do it is to be in the SL-SL channel and just listen in and then between rounds move to the main 2142 channel for the jokey talk and then back to the SL-SL channel for the next map
